Don't know exactlly what you were expecting from rocker arms??? No rocker arm has ever netted large gains. You should be very happy with what you got. The 17 TQ is awesome. Maybe you might ask if people think they would be worth the gain next time. It might save you some $$. Now you have to be extra careful if you ever decide to install a cam cause of the extra lift.

A friend put the 1.85 Comp rockers on a hot-cam bolt-on car (lid, LTs, 2 cut outs and free mods) and picked up a very consistent 3 tenths. It not only increases the lift and duration, but quickens the ramp rate. At less than $400, I'd recommend Comp's 1.85s over a cam swap on an already cammed car. I added them to my 220/224 530/534 112 cam and the new #'s are 239/244 577/581 112 w/ a 9% quicker ramp rate. The shame is at the same time I added S2 5.3 heads, fuel pump and March pulleys so I won't know the gains alone from the rockers. For those considering changing cams, divide your numbers by current rocker ratio (1.7 stock) and multiply by 1.85 (or other new ratio) to get your new numbers. It's a heck of a lot cheaper than a cam swap! In your case, I'd keep the rockers and step up to a hot-cam (if a dealer installs, you may keep your warranty). That will put you in the 575 lift range. IMHO

Hehe the rocker change does not effect your duration much. If you divide your duration by 1.7 and multiple it by 1.85 it does not give you your effective duration...
Use that formula for lift though, and figure a 1 to 2 degree duraton change. I'm still waiting for a before and after graph BTW!

yes rockers do work for a little hp but... For 350 you can get better hp for the money. Save a little more and get a cam with springs or lt's. On the other side of things they take about 20 min to change and you can't beat that. Rockers don't affect the durration just add a lift from 1.7 to whatever rocker your going to run. This would be considered a sleeper mod i guess. I would like to see the gain of a set of 1.9's with either ls6 engine with full exhaust and intake or a full bolt on ls1 car. They will shine a little better with that setup.
