Im just really curious... me and a couple buddies have been talking about the power my car makes... on a DynoJet made 437whp and 410wtq, on a Dynomite it made 404whp and 407wtq...
either way, I have no idea what tune is in the car... but with the list of parts i have, theyre the most hp gaining parts for an LS1!
SLP lid
LS6 Intake
AFR 205 heads
SVO injectors
QTP longtube headers/straight piped
and a custom cam
In: 279, Ex: 283 degrees
In: 0.591, Ex 0.598" lift
LCA: 114
ICL: 110
Preload: 0.005"
I only run 94 octane
I would think Id be making much more hp to the wheels. It really bothers me... just want to know from all you guys with LS experience, does this seem correct to you? or should I take it somewhere with HP tuners and get a good tune? I got 3.23 gears aswell, bought 3.90s that Ill put in over winter or something.

those are the specs the original owner told me.
Its a 6 speed, also, the original owner had HPTuners, and put his own tune in it. I have two graphs from two different dynos with basically the exact same power curve. Not sure what the AFR is on either dyno runs... on the dynomite (a friends dyno) we left the AFR out cause usually it costs extra (and he said if i made over 400whp hell give me the pulls for free), but the tank was low on gas when i brought it to the shop (i didnt plan on dynoing it) and the dyno is above ground so youre back end is sitting up on an angle, I was wondering if maybe the gas was at the front of the tank causing it to be lean? which may explain the huge difference in numbers between the two dynos?
anyways, on the second pull we hooked up the wideband, and it was idling at 19, so we decided we arent going to do another pull without getting gas first. we never ended up doing another one anyways, but i was disappointed with those numbers. and still not satisfied with the original numbers from the previous owner.... but heres the graph he gave me that he dynoed last year or soemthing. Only difference between then and now is there were cats on it then.

Anyone know of a place in southern Ontario to get a tune? A well known shop is preffered
thanks for all the input guys, the numbers were bothering me.

looks right to me,all dynoes read differently,so you cant compare.Go to the track to get some real info about the power your making. If you can break 120mph then your doing good

clean dyno pull really speaks volumes about a generally good tune. knowing that it's a home tune you should put the wideband on it and verify you aren't going too rich and that your timing is properly setup to make the most power. otherwise it looks to be a good bit of parts making around the power you would expect it to make.

did you monitor you Air fuel ratios? Different types of dynometers read really differently and their correction factors may vary alot. Dynojets tend to read the highest. For consistency, why not do a couple runs on a dynojet again. you will see that you didnt really loose any power, given that your car is in the same running condition as before.

The people making the 450+ are most likely runnng a fast intake and not a ls6. A ported fast you would gain 15+ hp most likely. Your 437 number seems inline with a ls6.
As far as the differences between the two times you dyno'd could easily be the different types of dynos, different days and other various things. Dont worry about the differences.
