Not bad numbers!! I guess the retune is the key then. Thanks for posting, I know this is a hot topic.

Was this over an ls1 or did you have a ls6 intake before?

I wonder if its possible to spend half the money and buy an LS6 intake and tune it to get 20 HP....by the way...sweet ride man.

this was over the LS1 intake. And keep in mind, i had a DYNO tune on the car BEFORE the intake. So... if i had not had the Dyno tune, the gain would obvously be more. 25+ i'm sure

Thumbs up

Nice gains indeed...do you have a ported throttle body yet and how big is it if you do?
I was thinking that maybe a 78mm FAST LSX hogged out to 80mm with a good 80mm TB would be a nice combo.

Good numbers X1BadWS6X, but a ls1 to ls6 intake switch with bolt-ons and a cam has made those numbers.

I'm now thinking the lsx doesn't gain anything when you're at stock, bolt-ons, and cam only, so it looks like you really need heads/cam and big bore engines to make this intake gain hp and torque.

Jmx made 20rwhp and 13rwtorque more coming from a ls1 intake to the ls6 intake on his cam and bolt-on car.

Yea , I think the gains are ok, but it doesnt warrant the price cost, I think an LS6 would have been in the 12 to 15hp range for half the money. But congrats all the same.

20hp....not bad at all. Who tuned it & what did they do? Tweak the a/f? Timing? Details if you have them please. I plan to dyno mine next week so I'm looking for insight. My baseline was a month ago, but I have since got a custom tune from RWTD for my PPC headers. (I gained 28hp from them)

well, it is the 78mm that I have on the car, and yes that was from an LS1 to LSX. I wanted the best, and got it, if I had put it on w/ no previous tune, i would have got 25-30 rwhp after LSX and tune i'm sure, but since I already had a tune on the car, its hard to PULL even more out of it. Combonatioin Motor Sports did my tune. cmotorsports.com They are a sweet group down there. I'm sure there welcome to phone calls, or ect. I'm not exactly sure what the change way, it was a/f, and timeing I know for sure though. Hope that helps, anyother questions I can help w/ I'd be more then happy.
