I used my experience to back my claim to politely disagree with your statement.

Single Plane > FAST

On ANYTHING.

Hmm would that intake/tb be too much for a cam only car with a 3800 stall?
tired of my ls6 intake was thinking a fast but dont want to shell out 1400 for intake
tb combo.

With that cam I would stick with a plastic intake. Do you have any more specifics on the cam? Generally a single plane wants a tight lsa like 110 or narrower. 4000 is a minimum stall for a single plane as well in my opinion.

My car went quicker and faster with a single plane with only a 2800 stall. It lost 5 hundredths in the 60' but made it back in the 1/8th and picked up over 1 MPH with just a baby 222/224 cam.

That's impressive. Don't forget though that the fastest time doesn't always cross the line first.

Ive talked to a few of the research guys who developed the LS manifolds at Edelbrock. They have a ton of time into them and it shows.

If anybody needs any Edelbrock intakes better priced then summit let me know!

Its a 112 lsa. Might go bigger on the converter though, maybe a 4200 or 4400.
