Sloppy Yank converter? 390 hp A4/can only

Jeff I was reading that the pt4000 suppose to have an 96% EFFICIENCY???


If you suppose to then the car would run faster

What do you think?

So a 390 FWHP car would deliver 374 to the tranny. Minus the loss on the tires and rear end, right? Say about 365ish.

All the newer Yanks, I have ever read about being dynoed, are always above the efficiency rating.

My car is 390 RWHP. Locked and 350 RWHP unlocked

390 to the ground not the flywheel.

So if the convertor is more effienct it should be around 375 rwhp unlocked not 350 rwhp

i think it would run better being able to use the broader pm range

At what RPM is that efficiency rated at? (>6500)

For sure not below 5500rpm.

Well to let you all know the Converter went bad and took the trans out with it.
I only made 5 runs at the track with it. Getting the tans rebuilt and a new converter now.

That sucks. Was the Yank converter under warranty?
