The TFS/A.I. route is also not a very cheap route. Albeit effective, you're talking about an $1800 cyl head and $600 (not including to/from shipping) of CNC work. As seen on this car it's an effective program, but not necessarily for the budget minded folks trying to stretch a dollar as far as possible. But, if the funds are available I do believe that the TFS/A.I. combo is probably in the top 3 most potent cyl head combo's in existence for the LSX engine.

Hope this helps.
Thank you sir.

Just wanted to update this thread. Driving out the door after the build is only part of the story. A real successful build is how the car drives months later. Since I got my car back from Spartan in February it has run like a champ!!! Not so much as a hick-up. Josh did not mention it, but he also installed a TruTac, 4.10s and a one piece driveshaft just before he rebuilt the engine. GTO diff problems following gear installs are legendary, but not for me, anymore. The rear has never been so quiet and those 4.10s with an M6 and this engine set up are a blast! So, thankx again to Spartan and Josh (a/k/a Damian). The guy is a pro!!!

I'm not really one to brag but I did do a fine job if I say so myself.

Scott I'm seriously tempted to throw in a 3.42 diff out of another car just for giggles and run it down to the dyno again. Can we say 5-Teens HP and high 400's TQ out of a stock bottom LS2?!?!?!

I have no doubt you'd be right. Just ask the two guys in the Mustang last week. You know, the engine feels looser now than it did when I first picked it up from the shop, I mean it feels stronger and pulls harder. "Broken in" perhaps? If so, I'd bet it might tickle the 500 mark right now with 4.10s.

The HP/TRQ I am at is not unusual/excessive for stock bottom end LS2 engines, so I am not worried that I am pushing the envelope here.

Quite a while with no problems. RPM is one of the biggest killers of a rotating assembly. This setup doesn't need to be spun high, and was designed as such.

And less importantly, Scott drives like a grandpa.

So it made 492/448 with 4:11's, 1 3/4 headers, baby cam, unported FAST 90 and the unported stock TB..?

Damn-

This would be great head choice for a C6 M6 with a G6X3 and 3:42's

It's a good combination of parts that was well thought out and matched together. Something that vendor advertising and 99% of the internet ignore.

I wouldn't necessarily call that cam a "baby" cam. It's a decent mid-size cam. Not huge by any means but definitely not small/baby either.

The TFS 220's CNC'd by A.I. are some nasty ****'s, but it's definitely not a budget minded option. Considering the car in this thread would have easily eclipsed 500+ rwhp with a stock gear, I'm willing to bet the CNC'd 220's are capable of 530+ rwhp on a stock bottom end 6.0L with a ***** out valvetrain/exhaust combination in a less power hungry drivetrain.

and...thankx to a Spartan's quality assembly and a spot on tune(also courtesy of Spartan) this GTO has had absolutely zero issues since it left the shop nearly one year ago and it drives so mellow on the street, it could be a DD.

Would the results be similar in a TBSS?
