Default EPS 226/234 Cam only

I have an 02 M6 Trans am & I just put in the EPS 226/234 113. After a day at the dyno it put down 376/371. It's about what I expected.

It says M6 ^^ but I think those are pretty great numbers, I have a 230/238 and really hoping to break 400 with it... we shall see next weekend when it gets dynoed!

Wow I'm blind! Same cam here. With bolt ons I hit 401rwh 392rwt before the FAST 92/92, magnaflow & cut-out went on.

i wouldn't call those numbers great. not terrible either. dynos are tuning tools so results aren't worth a ton of effort.

however, it seems to peak early for a 230* cam..

Peak seems early and low numbers. I'm guessing both of those are attributed to lack of headers/exhaust I hope.

What other mods does the car have?

Talking

It is a manual, and it has the usual headers and lid. Before the cam I ran a best of 12.69 @ 111mph (with a crappy 60ft), so I'm ready to see what it will do with the cam. I told Geoff at EPS that I wanted an "area under the curve" cam and didn't want to spin real high to get power. I did notice that they only went to 6200 rpm on the dyno, so that coupled with an early torque peak is going to hurt my peak HP numbers. Either way, I like the cam so far and the track will really tell how much I picked up (and now that I will finally be able to go by my buddies Fox body

Headers as in LT headers? Mids? Shortys? If you have LT's and a lid, I would say you are down on power. With bolt ons, 4.10's and that same cam, I put down 401rwh.

yeah, they are long tubes. Maybe my tuner isn't that great, not sure why the same cam is lower? Or maybe the dyno's are different? Do you have before/after times for your cam?

Nope. I haven't tracked it yet. I did have UD pulleys which you do not. Other than that, that is it and that wouldn't be a huge difference in HP. Stock exhaust at the time too.

that cam peaks at like 5800...that's not too terribly off from a stock cam. i dunno, i hope it runs better than the dyno shows. if it trapped 111 with a stock cam i'd like to think adding something like that would bump it up to 115 at least.

I think 5800 is really early for a peak too...but tell us how it does on track, you will know if its good or not.

This I would start being curious about the icl as well. Turk where is your graph. Maybe it can lead to something if we superimpose it and see if the curve is moved to the left in the graph.
