I'm very happy with the heads considering the cam stopped making power at 5800 rpm

Just curious, why did you do the heads first and not cam? Thanks for the post, I've been looking for something like this for a while.
I knew the heads would make more power and my plan was to do the heads then spray a 175 shot and see if I can get the car to go some 10.60 - 10.70 with the stock cam. I'm still up in the air on this, Im itching to put the cam in now.

I was thinking the same thing about going with the heads 1st.

Nice to see the car is up and running! Should be ~10.6-10.7:1 w/ a 64cc head, though the exact # may vary a bit w/ gasket bore diameter & actual compressed thickness. The 226cc CNC work tends to gain ~40-45rwhp over an as-cast 243, but some converters obviously make racing the drum futile. I'm sure it'll run well before & after Geoff's cam. A 232/240 at that relative level of aggressiveness would likely manage 450-470rwhp in a stick car w/ the 226cc CNC work. Good luck with it!

Anxiously anticipating the progression of this project! Could we see another N/A, H/C, stock short block, 10 sec F body from KH504?

OK so I put Geoffs 230 / 238 cam in and picked up 61RWHP with no other changes to the car. The only other thing that was changed is the 373 gears in the car and it went from 112mph to 120mph with the cam. the car made 414RWHP @ 5700 and at 6800 it still made 409RWHP.

Why didn't you go with a AI cam thats optimized for the CNC'd heads?

I'm sure if anyone can spec a cam for a given set of cylinder heads to be fully optimized, that Geoff Skinner is one of them.

Phil@AI also is right there with him. I could only hope to be mentioned in the same regards as them.
