Default Dyno'd my vortech powered SS. made 514whp w/ video

I will throw up the graph in a bit. But I made 514whp and 468wtq on 6psi w/ LS6 heads/ full exhaust and a 224r cam with 18 degree's of timing and Meth as well. Not to shab for a mild set up. Was door to door with a GTO on a 150shot and a 233/239 cam that put down 517whp and 582 torque from a 40ish roll to 135.

Nice numbers for such a mild setup. I'm actually considering buying a Vortech V9G for my setup. Cant wait to see the graph!

Awesome numbers! Where does the G-Trim stand in the hierarchy of blowers? I'm not too familiar with the Vortech product line.

it's a smaller blower rated at 825cfm but there is a test showing 1100cfm spinning it hard. I have a 9psi pulley. The car it was on before saw 8psi with this kit.

One dyno run it made 505 wtq, no spikes but I think it was a fluke and saw my other pulls make around 505whp, 510whp, 514whp and torque be around 465 468 and then 505tq. So I will take the 46x torque and 510ish whp lol.

My afr's seem lean but their sniffer is about 2 points off. So it was low 11 to mid 11's on my wide band vs. theirs. Another thing is that I think if I went past 6500 it would have still made more power, the hp was still climbing but I want to keep it safe lol.

a pic of the car

boost is just restriction (I have a 9psi pulley but only see 6psi because of heads and cam), but yeah I have trapped 121mph so far. I think it's got a little more in it, I found a leak after the MAF so it may have been causing some high idle and lean tip-in issues Ive had, going to fix that and see if it helps with hesistation and what not. Other wise the car runs good against cars I think it should be get beaten by.

I also have heads and cam over you guys on stock/head combo. No idea pulley size. Cam and heads really help a lot.

What mph you guys trap? My best mph is 121 around a 3700 pound car with me in it.

V-9g is good for 600hp. I do know my belt is an inch shorter then the stock kit/pulley set up. The last car with this kit made 460ish whp.

If it also helps, I beat a cbr 600 by a good couple of car lengths that has intake/exhaust and tune on back to back pulls.

I trapped 117 with a boat load of **** in the car including a speaker box with 2 Memphis Pr 12's and an MCD-1000 amp, spare and jack, ect, ect, dont know the weight of car but id say atleast 150lb more than stock without me in it and im 180lb or so. My belt is 50 1/8" and stocker is 51". I have a hard time geting the belt on its such a tight fit with the 2.95" upper. Another point to consider is the crank pulley diameter as Vortech said there were 2 or 3 different sizes depending on the kit and year ordered. I believe they are 6" 6.5" and maybe a 7" also. We need to measure the crank pullies also and report back to have a fair comparison. I would also like to see your dyno chart in rpm with a boost readout to compare to mine if you have it. What lid and filter you runnning? I bought a silicone 45deg coupling to replace the dryer hose Vortec crap and it helped with boost and seat of the pants pull through the rpm range.

thanks Jerm, definitley is!

To compare for weight, I have added a moser 9", SFC's, the blower, 4 point roll bar and what not. so the car isnt that light. I just now have taken out around 150 pounds of weight off the front end and have the car torn down right now putting in my RaceStars skinnies up front, taken out the front sway bar, took out the a/c system, jack & spare, and putting in a BMR K-Member right now as I type this. I am going to keep a full interior car put take weight out in other places. Seems my power is dead on for 4mph more then your car as well. I replaced the dryer tube with a piece of 3" aluminum intake piping cut at an angle.

Here is a dyno run w/ boost reference, they said it reads about .5 point high on their graph's.

I see your not intercooled and that might make the pulley combos different due to restriction through vortec's aftercooler. I will try to get to a local scale tomorrow and weigh the car as it is and was when I ran it. What was your time with the 121mph trap. Slicks n skinnies or??? Mine was with staggered ZR1's and 315 sumitomo street tires out back with a 1.95 60ft and was a 12.08 @ 117mph. It was in the mid 70's that night also. I have since changed the muffler and added the coupling on the intake side so Im thinking another trip to the track and maybe the dyno are in order.

Weather was warm no drag pack on. Just some 275MT's on zr1's. 1.81 60ft bogging , I ran a 11.88. I also have the 9" rear end which kills a few mph. 1/8th mph is around 95mph.meth works great in place over that crap stock intercoolerSet up.
