He bought them! It's Trick Flow time!!!!!

His heads have a pretty big intake valve for a 346, but they will work and work well especially with the extremely early intake valve close event that the SNS Stage 2 has. It will really be a strong performer with those heads Nate!

Just have him shoot me a PM if he's interested in selling them. Thanks Martin.

Ill keep you guys posted on what I do with the 243's but I'm leaning towards keeping them just beacuse Ive spemt so much on them over the course of 2 motors(364" and the 418")
Just got back from a short outage in Illinois...Ill be back out of town again pretty soon. Heads look good though...Im getting psyched up about it.
I must have been slightly delerious from the long drive home because I actually consider selling the heads I just got because I was wondering if I could do a set of LS7 heads medium bore for my 4.080" bore...I'm all better now. I got the wrong head gaskets though. Thats what I get for being in a hurry.

Hmmm, medium bore LS7's.....interesting choice Mike. You'd need a new intake and camshaft though....I got you covered there if you decide to bump your head again.

Atta boy. Let's try those pretty TFS 235's you got there out and see what kind of power we can make. I think the compression gain alone is really going to perk the car up. Should be lot more responsive and it should drive a lot better with the added CR.

Nice build. I've got a 408 with the TFS 235 with the TEA nitrous port. They were suppose to port match the fast 102 i have but only did the bottom shell. Would you recommend opening up the runners also and taper them so its a smooth transition instead of hitting a wall?

I'm also running a nw 102 tb and DuSpeed intake. Went to a kooks full 3" catback and mids so the exhaust can flow, 1 7/8" headers hanging on the heads. I dont want to leave any power on the table so curious if I should have the runners opened up to the port match they did. Wasn't sure if there was a reason they did not do the runners or if I should have it done. Seems like everything should flow nice and easy instead of hitting the wall of the runners since they opened up the port of the bottom shell.

I matched the lower base and slightly tapered it at the top and then matched and tapered the runners up about 6" or so...just smoothed it in I guess I didn't get really crazy with it

i was careful but was surprised at how little it took to match the individual runners..they had plenty of material

Weldermike,
I think you should go LS7. If you ask nicely(VERY NICELY), I guess I MIGHT be willing to buy your stump puller since everyone knows only LS7 make good HP/torque #'s LOL

Happy with my stump puller so far.....if I go Med. LS7 heads I will need a new cam to work right...the only way Id go LS7 heads is if a cam could be ground to get me 520+ RWTQ at a decent RPM...but Ill need too much other **** to swap so I may as well stay with my cathedral port "junk" : )

I know that could be achieved Mike. I say we try these junk cathedral ports out first!

My kinda thread! I'm very interested in the results & especially the how it drives.

After a long winter I've just driven my 416 with some of those extensively modified junk TF 235's. No dyno numbers but the airflow increase over the previous combination is impressive. The acceleration is explosive, actually a little spooky in third & fourth gears

Other the NOS port TF 235's are planning any other work to heads?

I'm pretty sure that the N20 exhaust port is the only added "extra" these heads have over any other set of TEA TFS 235's. Or was it Ai that CNC'd these TFS heads Mike?

Total Engine Airflow Trick Flow 235's ... but no nitrous exhaust VJ ... Ill run them as-is for now because of the amount of rework needed for the nitrous exhaust ... they're being disassembled and hot washed as we speak to remove the disassembly crud then i can prep them and paint them pontiac blue

We need dyno results ASAP!

As I said in PM, your 243 heads were exceptionally well done and your power curve confirms this from 2500-6800. I am eager to see how much, if any, improvement is to be had with the TFS 235s on your motor. You also have a much better bore to unshroud the intake valve on the TFS heads than my miserable 4.005" bore.

I love my TFS lungs but would never buy another set for how marginal the gains were over a set of properly ported CNC 243s. I spent a lot on these heads, and learned a lot in the process...

Below is my before/after graphs. Only changes were going from stock-valve 243s CNC'd by TSP (Stage 2.5 LS6 heads) to TFS 235s with slightly larger cam.

Same ported Fast 92, weak-ported LS2 TB, Varacram intake, and same exhaust setup through cats and 2.5" catback.

I might not ever break my 500wtq goal with these heads and only 4.005" of bore, but I am hoping to come close and break 540-550whp with the 3" exhaust, port-matched Fast 102, and V-Max 92mm TB.

Remember that no matter how my posts come across, I love your setup! Your stroker shows what good bore and good velocity can truly do on a stroker combo. You did your homework and it paid dividends.

Cheers, Mike!

In for the results of the 235's. You are planning on just bolting the TFS heads up and running it right? It would be cool to see the gains just from the heads alone.
