Default Got on a real Dyno finnally..

Well after dynoing on a Dynocom and a Mustang I decided to go dyno on a Dynojet as in my exsperience they seem to be the most reliable.

On the Dynocom my car made 480rwhp and on the Mustang dyno made 410rwhp. I dynoed during dyno days at both since it was 30.00 for 3 pulls.

On the Dynojet it made
Car made 448rwhp and 445rwtq..

Mods are

383 stroker,11.3:1 Compression ratio
243's with some port work in the combustion chambers but nothing done to the intake or exaust ports
238/248/605/612/112 cam
LS6 intake with a ported TB, SLP maf, and SLP lid
usual valvetrain stuff
BBK longtube headers, 2.5 inch Y-pipe, SLP Duel Duel catback
Spec stage 3 clutch with spec steel Flywheel
Stock 10bolt with 3.42's

I must say I was happy.

I am putting on a Professional Products 96mm intake and a 102mm TB in a week or so then getting retuned and hitting back up that same dyno to see what it makes.

You will always get different results with different dynos. Try to stick with one so you see improvement as you mod.

LOL that dynocom must have had the happy **** cranked

I would expect something around 435rwhp if you hit up 2-3 Dynojets and averaged them. Looks like a nice combo for coveservative heads

Its a budget build. I have about 3500 in it right now and after this intake around 4000.00 in parts.. I do tend to stick to 1 dyno. My car was tuned @ the track and the other 2 dyno's were dyno days and it was real cheap to run it. I have always used dynojets with all my cars for seeing what gains I get from mods and I try to stick with on Dynojet if I can. Luckly this one i about 8 miles from my house on the way to Atco Raceway, and about 2 miles from my tuners house..

Good stuff mate...Best Dyno with acurate results is a hub Dyno...can't say I've heard of you guys ever mention using them though.

Never heard of them. After I post this I will be doing a Google search for it though. The most consistant dyno I have used has alway been dynojets. Every pull they are within a couple HP and Tq of each other. The Dynocom and Mustang Dyno seemed to be 5-10 hp off on each pull.

Dynojets give you a higher number than what usually you would expect, Mustang dyno will give you less but its more accurate.

Google will come up with pics as well of the Hub Dyno. Best for tuning & power runs, as you get no tyre slippage.

IDK about accurate. The Mustang Dyno I dynoed on read anywere from 400rwhp on 1 pull to 376 to 412. Same with the Dynocom.. 499,493,468.. The dynojet might read more but 3 pulls were 444,446,448. Thats consistant and thats what I like to see. Now a Hub Dyno looks pretty cool and will have to check it out one of these days.

it has its issues that im trying to work out right now lol

as for dynocom's they suck i was just on one a few weeks back and it spit out the most rediculous numbers it said my car made 455hp and 450tq, if that was the case i would have seen trap speeds that reflected those numbers

It is not the dyno. It is the operator. Start with the same CT, OT, IAT, for every pull, if not your numbers will vary. Make 3 runs then average, but most just want to quote the highest number they see.
