Default Tick Performance does mustangs!?!?!?!?!

Yes! We are now doing newer Mustangs you heard right!!! We decided to jump into the Blue Oval side of things(don't kill the messenger) when a good friend of the shop brought us his 2011 Coyote powered 5.0 Mustang to do a Novi 2000 blower install along with a full Kooks exhaust system including their sweet true duals and a Spec clutch.

Here are the preliminary results on 8-9psi of boost:

We're highly impressed by this little motor and the TiVCT is AWESOME look at that torque curve for a centrifugal blower!!!

I'll have some dyno videos and pictures of the car up later for you guys to look at.

That's all for now!

Topend is right, i know 2 people personally who have done coyote swaps into 99-04 gt's. When you buy the crate motor direct from a Ford dealer for 5-6k it comes with the pcm and wiring harness and gas pedal as well. Its truly an amazing deal.

Still too expensive for me lol. I thought it was damn impressive that a 302 cubic inch motor, with 9psi and nothing but full exhaust could make over 600rwhp and nearly 500rwtq.

I'm in love with the TiVCT though!

That's badass! Great engine for sure. It would be nice if they put a decent manual transmission behind it, but that's not the engine's fault.

I think it already is Ed!!! I know my head was just trying to catch on to it versus what I know in HPT and how the GM processor works versus the Ford. Feaking thing is backwards!

The damn thing really is backwards, well at least most of the older stuff from what I understand. The new coyote stuff from what I understand is light years better than the old ford stuff.

Ford ETC tuning can be a nightmare.

I agree, these new Coyote motors are impressive. My friend has a 2012 Saleen Mustang that still runs, drives and sounds like a 100% stock Mustang and he just made 1180 at the tire. He is looking for alot more in the next few weeks.
This one you did at 9 pounds is very impressive also.

I will call him to get the details but I do know it has rods and pistons in the bottom. I think the top end has the basics like ported heads,Boss intake and of course the turbo. That was on 23 pounds and he says he thinks it will make over 1400 at 30#. He is getting it ready to go to the Texas mile and do some drag racing this summer.
The bad news is that I guess the blocks are breaking at these big numbers. Ford has a better block but I guess you cant buy them yet.

He also has a 97 Cobra that was running in the 8s in street trim back in 1998.
