Default TFS 220 VRX5 Combo Dyno Results

First off, big thanks to CBI Street Cars and DSX Tuning for building and tuning one hell of a street car. Awesome customer service and an extremely high quality end product by both of these guys. Highly recommend them to anyone in the St. Louis area.

Now, on to the car. I just picked it up today from the shop and it's an absolute beast now! One of the best parts is that it drives virtually stock... besides the nasty exhaust note. This cam really lopes hard.

Build specs are:

- Short block is built/balanced/blueprinted and decked
- Honed cylinders from 346 to 347ci
- Scat forged 4340 steel h-beam rods
- Wiseco forged 2618 alloy flat top pistons with -2.2cc valve reliefs
- ARP head bolts
- ARP main studs
- ARP 2000 rod bolts
- Morel 5206 Link Bar Lifters
- Chromoly hardened pushrods
- Vengeance Racing VRX5 Camshaft
- Comp Cams trunion bearing upgrade for stock rockers
- GMPP Single Roller roller timing chain
- Melling Hi-Volume Oil Pump
- PRC .650 lift double springs
- Titanium retainers
- TFS 220cc As Cast Heads with Powdered Metal valve guides, Milled to 60cc Chambers (11:1 SCR, 8.7:1 DCR)
- !EGR and !AIR
- Pacesetter 1-3/4" primary long tube headers into 3" custom y-pipe w/ Flowmaster Merge into SLP 2OTL 3" exhaust
- NGK TR55 spark plugs with MSD wires
- Potz Performance Ported and polished throttle body
- Potz Performance Ported and polished MAF ends
- SLP flowpack with ram air and lid
- Racetronix 255lph fuel pump kit with wiring harness
- LS3 42lb injectors
- FIC billet injector spacers and harness adapters
- LS6 intake manifold

Dyno results are below. This was done through the full exhaust.

Let me know what you think!

Nice numbers with the LS6 intake. A FAST should put you in the 460-470 range.
Are the numbers through the full exhaust? Id like to hear what it sounds like through the SLP D/D

Looks like good results, but I doubt they are Forged aluminum connecting rods, they are likely forged 4340.

Thanks! Although a FAST 92/102 intake would be nice, the next things on my list are an underdrive pulley, cutout, and better 1-7/8" long tubes. That should be good for another 25 horses to the ground. This dyno was done with though the full exhaust (see edited OP). I'll post up a dyno and an idle video as soon as I can get one to the OP. It's about to be a blizzard here soon so that may be a minute.

Thanks! Like a lot of guys, I had a budget, so the money was spent where it counts. Minor details like a Cutout/LT's/UDP can happen later on for relatively cheap.

Great numbers. Those TFS heads are where it's at. I'd say we should meet up and run here soon, but you're going to blow my car out of the water.

BTW, I'll let you know on the shifter/****. Weighing my options at this point.

The 2OTL does sound great especially with the y-pipe! It actually gets pretty loud at WOT in the car but at normal cruising its very livable. I didn't even look at the idle to be honest, lol. Probably around 850 by the sound... I'll let you know later this week after things dry up around here.

Never know man your car could be a stronger runner. Sounds good, lmk.

One thing I gotta do still is take pics of the engine bay. This thing looks brand spankin new you can eat off of it. I'll try to get those up in the OP sometime soon.

Car sounds great in the dyno video! Great numbers too, especially for an LS6 intake. I have the same 220/VRX5 setup on my car, except with a FAST 102. I can’t wait to get mine tuned and take it for a drive next month

Thanks man! I was super impressed as well for how little bolts-on I have for those kind of #'s. Sounds like your car will haul some *** those FAST 102's are no joke.

Thanks! You really notice that broad torque curve while driving. Has power all over the band, it's a great combo for a street car.

I know this is an old thread but what numbers did you end up making on that setup if you don’t mind me asking? I am planning on going the same route
