Default epic Dyno Fail.

So our local car club was attending a dyno day being held by a company that had just been bought out and was under new ownership and i figured id throw my SS on there since i havnt yet. before i get into how much of a fail this was ill list my full mod list.

98 ls1 t56 3.42 gears
stock heads
stock intake
longtubes
ORY
kooks muffler
new plugs and taylor wires
235/240 .643/.609 111+1 cam and supporting mods and a street tune
Lid port and polished throttle body...

now onto the fail... the idiots at ProTech running the dyno didnt find it necessary to recalibrate the dyno to run RWD cars after they ran a handfull of AWD evo's. as the result every rwd car put down 12-15% less power than they have on a dynojet the previous week. one 560wheel vette didnt even break 500 wheel.

heres what i made.

curves are right from similar cams (tsunami and SI6) and ive pulled on 400-430hp Fbodies and held even with a bolton c5z and a 460wheel procharged mustang so i know my power is much more than this dyno is showing...

just thought id share and ill continue to enjoy the fact that i have one of the fastest "350rwhp" F-bodies around

I made 36XRw and trapped mid 9Xmph (120+).. Dyno numbers don't mean a thing.

i like having only 350 wheel based on the dyno.. the curve is there and healthy and i know it would rape anything with the same horsepower haha

sleeper status?? even with a Tsunami cam

Loved it about mine too.. New setup only made 437Rw (5000 converter and low reading dyno)... People underestimate it all the time.

Did you pay for the dyno?

Peer pressure is a MFer!

I would have been asking for a refund, if not just a partial. Or some free credit towards runs when it is calibrated right.
