Default Factory Freak!?!

I just got my car dynoed last saturday and it pulled 349.6RWHP & 357.9 TQ.

My car is a 2000 SS M6, all i have done to it is a TSP smoked clear Lid, and a Holley Powershot filter.. it has 39000k on the odometer. I couldnt beleive the numbers when they came up, neither could my friends and the people at the dyno.. They said they have never dynoed a nearly stock ls1 that high before. I was hoping for about 315rwhp, but when i saw the numbers on the computer my jaw dropped, As did everyone elses.

I cant wait to start doing more mods

Those are great numbers. Just think what it will be with headers, asap pulley, TB, etc....what maybe 380HP! Hard to believe.....
this one will be most likely scrutinized....

Have you ever run it at the track?

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there's no way your car makes that power with your only mods being a filter/lid. Either the dyno is off, it wasn't SAE corrected (very likely scenario), or there are hidden mods from the previous owner lol.....

Does your dynosheet say SAE corrected on the sides?

I figured no one would beleive me, but i had to post it. It doesnt say whether its SAE corrected or not. I also thought it was too high of numbers, but my friends SS dynoed 331rwhp that same day and he has long tubes, lid, filter, ORY, and some other stuff.

No i havent taken it to the track yet but with those numbers it should be in the 12s.

And as far as the previous owner, he didnt do anything to it, but SLP in Michigan owned the car first till 15k miles before he bought it, so they may of done some dyno tuning to it. who knows

Well i knew it was too good to be true! these numbers are STD, my bad, but even SAE corrected i think they would still be reasonably High dyno numbers for a near stock car!

What do you think they would be SAE corrected?

It's hard to tell. Even the correction factor as far as I'm concerned is someting to be desired. Take it to the track. With those numbers, You should hit 108 mph in the 1/4 fairly easy. With the mods you have most 6 speed cars trap 105-106 on street tires.

STD numbers are roughly 5-6% higher from what I've seen......so 350rwhp STD would be roughly 330rwhp SAE....which would still be phenominal for the mods you have.

You never know though, you should go back and ask the operators for the SAE numbers.

I saw an '02 make 345/345 SAE corrected with only a pulley, 85MM MAF, lid, Filter, and catback, through manifolds and cats. My Z06 only made 352/351 on the same dyno (stock).

I just had my '02 WS6 on the dyno a few weekends ago and put down 331/351 with nothing but an SLP lid, Y-pipe, and cat back (not LM). I edited the run files to remove the SAE correction and smoothing and it only came up to 339, so his numbers still look huge for mostly stock.

nice numbers none the less, sounds like SAE you would have what I did, 330/345, and all I had was a lid. So sound very believeable. Now I have the some problem as you, gotta get it to the track!

I hit the numbers in my sig with just the Hooker CB,LS1 Motorsports Lid + holley powershot filter. I also have the Granatelli "budget" MAF on my car.

Definately a freak, everyone thought I had a small cam or something at the dyno day...

I did 346/357 with a lid, cutout, pulley and ported tb with a fat air fuel of 12.1 across the board.
