I took your advice! I bought a FAST 92mm intake and 90 mm throttle body. I took the intake off tonight and was going to pass it off on someone who thinks it looks cool and this is what I found! I was concerned where the small pieces of divider went but I just did a compression test and that cylinder was fine. I'm the dumbass that installed this intake by the way!

The inside of my intake ports look like the inside of a damn coal chimney! I'm running a dual catch can system. The contamination I'm getting from this can't be helping anything.

You're still way better off with that fast 92mm setup...you'll need a tune after changing intakes.

My car with the same cam shaft runs 12.3 @ 114 on just motor, and I agree with the statement that if i had a smaller cam in it, mine would pick up mph also. But that being said, it really picks up on the juice. My gear is 4.10 but with my 28" tall tires I am close to your 390 gear. I did put my car on a super flow dyno, and it made 434 on motor. The super flow dyno had a stock 97 Corvette LS1 on it just before me and it made 262 at the wheels. I know my car is making power, just seems like it should have more mph on N/A. I'm just going to live with mine till I put a 408 in it. Good luck!

Thanks! I'm disappointed with the performance for what is done with the car but it still is a fast car! Maybe not compared to a lot of cars on here but around where I live my car has a pretty good reputation for being a stout performer. Since I put the 42# injectors in the car about 3 weeks ago its been down because of the problems with the injector on #6 repeatedly going bad for whatever reason. I'm putting the fast intake, FIC 42# injectors, and a TSP mail order tune in the car. I'll be happy if I can just get the reliability back. I never had an ounce of trouble with the car on the stock injectors.

SUBSCRIBED! curious tho on your drag setup, cant hate so much on the build like you are if the rest isnt set up right, ie; tire height, suspension mods, what tire, DA, etc, IMO dont think the 3.90's are killer for a M6 car at the strip if everything else is not helping.
However very interested in seeing how the FIC 42lb injectors/intake setup help you

edit: OP do you have an UD pulley in that setup?

Yeah I forgot to list that I do have an underdrive pulley. I'll let you know how the car does on the new injectors and intake.

Car is way over cammed for the way its set up right now IMO.

If you want to keep that cam you need to open up both the intake an exhaust and throw some 4.56's and 28's on it.

From the other MS4 cam dyno sheets I've seen it peaks around 6500. Was the cam degreed? I wonder if you are off a tooth if it would account for the low power and it peaking early.
What springs are you running and what's the install height at?

Also, are you sure the the pistons were .008 out of the hole?

It has a FAST 92 and 1 7/8 headers. How much more do you think it should be opened up?

Well after a long cold winter I'm finally taking the car to Kentucky today to have one of the best tune it and see where the car is at on a dyno jet. I'll post some results.

is this on a Ls1? if so then you should be in the 430-450 range with your set up..look at my sig and see what I have done with my cam on a 370..a buddy of mine made 442whp with a MS3 cam and 243 heads and a LS6 intake..so yeah you should you should be making more power with your set up..sounds like something else is going on.

Hey - who tuned your car originally? I'm thinking I can probably guess who.

The upgrade to the 42# injectors and ditching the BBK for the fast 92 really helped. I guess it all was pretty logical. You need fuel and air to make power. The intake was choking the heads and cam. Also the tune was a big key.
