Default LQ9, PRC CNC LS6 heads 440 RWHP

There was a mobile wheel dyno at the FL2k event this weekend. So, I thought I would give it a shot.

I dyno'd the car when I first got there. It was a little lean, I jetting up a bit and got another 1.5 MPH out of it later that day, so it may have dyno'd higher at that point. It was about 90 degrees outside during this dyno.

Junkyard LQ9, PRC CNC Stage 1 LS6 heads, 226/234 110+3, Victor Jr. 950 Holley, 1 3/4 Dougs Headers, Full dual 3" exhaust and turbo mufflers.

440 RWHP @ 6650 RPM. The converter was unlocked. Here is a sheet and a video. Dig how quiet my car is LOL.

Great results! I feel like that is great power considering the converter was unlocked. That would definitely surprise someone at a red light.

Wonder how much of your power over mine is the intake manifold and how much is the more professional heads.

Mine showed 390rwhp unlocked, best trap speed so far was 116 but usually hangs around 114-115 or lower depending on DA (our DA is often around 3000ft, DA for my best was around 1000ft).

I am going to guess heads. Your intake may not have as much peak power, but I bet the average power is better.

My graph does not show correct torque due to the way I rolled into the throttle but it should be in a similar 360-370 range. Good point about the intake. I've seen people post crazy gains with those type intakes but lose a lot down low and I've seen some post results where they didn't seem to gain much if anything. Just always open to the idea since I have room.

My heads are stock on the exhaust ports minus smoothing flash, intakes have the rocker boss removed, casting flash removed, guide boss slimmed down, .010" mill. No unshrouding was done, no port walls were reshaped, and nothing was "opened up" on either end of any of the ports.

I agree those are excellent numbers. I like how the hp carries on up to around 6750 rpm. Maybe that should be your shift point.

By the way I took my 65 Skylark over to get it dyno tuned this afternoon. Hopefully by tomorrow night I will have some numbers to post if all goes well. Base motor is a junkyard L92 out of a 2007 Escalade.
