My H/C A4 Dyno Results (PP Stage 3 LS6 Heads)...

lol, I will only be taking it to 7000-7200 at the track, it's only an 1/8th mile here too. As far as the raceweight....umm I have no clue, whatever a 99 WS6 weights with true duals(extra weight) and chrome C5 rims. No weight reduction will be done yet, want to see what the car will do in street trim. Tell you what when it was on the dyno revving that high the thing just screams!!

Locking the verter will cause the dyno to peak lower at times.
EG u say it was at 7400 but it could be skewed and you were really more like 7000.
Slippage is common on a dyno run with an unlocked verter.
Lock it next time and see where it peaks, how high u rev it.
Bet its not 7400....

No actually my rev limiter is set for 7200 and it never kicked in, I'd say about 7000 like you said however I just got back from the track and blew my engine. Something let go not sure yet but it's locked up. Kinda made me wonder, I have had a LOUD knocking sound when cold and still there when warm for awhile now.

The engine had 88k on it so under the abuse it's put through it was kind of a ticking time bomb considering it did have some unusual sounds coming from it for half a year now. Like I said the dyno chart may show 7400 but it never got over 7000-7100 , and I shift at 6800-7000 at the track. Thanks for the kind words tho. If I replace the bottom end I might as well get a stroker, anyone know how much I'd be looking at for say a 408 for just the shortblock?

Well can't say you didn't expect it. Good luck with the "NEW" block.

Hey thanx, I appreciate everyones help and support Now what would you guys go with out of the following options...
All foged 346 with a custom turbo setup or.
All forged 408 with a 150-200 shot of nitrous
These are my 2 options for my new buildup. What would you do?

From: sojourning....looking for my city whose builder and maker is God.
He believes the 346 with the twin turbo on the bottom end will beat the 408 with bug juice. Thought I would share! lol

I would stay NA and spray occasionally.
You can make 500RWHP reliably on motor with a 408ci motor and 650RWHP on a 150 shot (TNT wet kit) EASY to tune and very reliable. Need injectors and good fuel system of course

My husband is SO FUNNY I read him your options and this is part of what he said. If you have had filet minion, why would you want a veggie burger?

Not exactly the easiest thing to get right.
Some guys have YEARS in their setups to get everything right.
NO2 = easier + lighter and probably faster and cheaper in the end, too
