Regarding the power band, I did a bit of crunching, and it seem like the break even point is 7000 RPM shifts with an M6. Shift lower, and the LS6 intake has more average HP. Shift higher, and the WAR has more average HP. I am not sure how to figure it with an A3 or A4. Some use a converter so loose that the RPM doesn't fall much on a shift, but there must be some serious loss (and probably heat) with that much slippage. So they can keep the RPM closer to peak, but they don't get it all to the ground.
