In from the bottom sir.All of maybe 15 mins to do either side if the car is up high enough.I dont have a/c on this car which makes a big difference when trying to do it from the top. That back passenger corner is very tight for space.

I advise also once you get them installed to be mindful of the driver side o2 sensor wires are very close to the header so do your best to shield it from heat, mine burnt up 2 days later.

The cheap 1 5/8 longtube headers were good for 15whp and 20wtq when i dynoed it a few days ago.I gained another 10 by opening my 3" cutout.

Thanks, got them in. Had to pick up a taller jack. Slipped right in through the bottom like you said. Before i hooked up the y pipe i routed all the wires for the 02s. Should be alright but ill keep an eye on them. Just have to stop by the tuner so he can flash for the lts. Putting a cam in this summer, so ill be back on the dyno soon with some new numbers.

Glad to hear it went as smoothly as it should.Keep an ear out for header flange leak as I had one but nothing a thicker gasket or some sealer cant fix.And post up some more pics or open header vid lol.

Yea i noticed on the front of the driver side head, the flange isnt completely flat, but its not leaking right now. Im gonna put it on the lift at work today and replaced the clamps at the collectors. Have massive leaks there, got dark quick last night and didn't have time to pick up better clamps. The headers fit very well though for the price. Theres plenty of frame and k member clearance, plus being stainless, the price cant be beat. Ill post of a vid later today when i get all my leaks taken care of.

Took care of the leaks and had the pcm adjusted for them by my tuner today. Pulls much harder from second now and passing on the highway. Did i quick pull to 116 today, smooth as silk....

Awesome price for stainless LT's that fit this well. Haven't scraped yet, been crawling over speed bumps when i can't avoid them. So far so good.

Cars been running great, but I think i can pull a little more power out of her before going to a cam, don't have the money right now. Car was initially tuned with the stock manifolds on 87 octane. Hasn't been on the dyno or tuned after the LT's. Gonna go for a retune this time running 93 for some more timing. Between that and the headers, i should be able to get a few more horses.

Default LM7 cam uprgade, 243 heads, and FAST LSX dyno estimate

The cars been running great, i took it off the road for the winter and I'm going to start doing some upgrades soon. I plan to turbo the car sometime next year, so here is the list of what I'm want to do before the spring:

FAST LSXR 102mm intake and throttle body
ls9 head gaskets
arp head studs
comp trunnion upgrade
stock 243 heads, having them milled .025 to keep 9.5:1 compression
Tick performance stage 2 v2 turbo cam- 231/231 | .63x"/.59x" | LSA115+5
double roller timing chain

Im gonna be running the car NA for a while, so i want to maintain the 9.5:1 compression ratio. I would just like to get an idea of what power this combo would put down at the wheels. Im still using factory ls1 injectors, gonna swap them out when i get started on the turbo part of the build. Already picked up the fast intake to replace the ls6 and stock ls1 throttle body. Of course I'm also gonna have the car retuned when its dyno'd.

Can I ask why you are going with the Fast when you have boost in the future? The ls1/ls6 intake do much better under boost than the fast due to the design. Also, a 102 on a 5.3 seems on the big side. Just some thoughts when I saw the new setup. Awesome car and numbers

Sounds like you should pick up another 20-25 at the wheels switching to lts and 93. I did that on my ls1 picked up 30 rwtq all the way across the board and then a peak of 35 rwhp on a mustang dyno. Your cars coming along nicely.

That's one seriously high afr.

Good numbers though.

Default LM7 swap hitting the dyno Again, after cam and upgrades.

Hey guys, its been a while but aim going back on the dyno. Brought the car back to my tuner. Just finished installing a cam, Fast 102mm intake and throttle body, Comp rocker trunion upgrade and hardened pushrods, Brian Tooley .650 valve springs, and ls7 lifters. Also put on ls9 head gaskets, ARP head studs, and 799 heads that i had milled .030 to bring compression back up to 9.6:1. Heads werent ported.

The cam is a Comp LSR 277LR, 113lsa and .614/.621 max lift. I also added longtubes since last time when the car made the 308/323 it was with stock manifolds.

So what gains do you guys think i can expect with these upgrades? Im still running the Ls1 injectors, and the car was last tuned in the winter so i dont know how much the temperature is going to affect power. Any input would be greatly appreciated

Anyone have an idea? Im hoping for at least 350rwhp. Is 380rwhp too far out of reach?
