I finally got my 04 GTO built up &tuned. I was really planning on using the GM hot cam, but at the last minute I changed my mind. I had Panhandle Performance Engines p&p my 243 heads, & spec me out a cam. Cam used was a Comp Cams 226/234 113+4 LSA. I had all the supporting mods (still used factory ls6 intake & throttle body. Car made 388/375. Tuned at Boost Performance in Amarillo, Tx.

It's a 6 speed. I have long tubes no cats with an x pipe. I'm going to take it to the track to see what it will do before I do anything else. However I really thought it would make more than that. I dropped it off on a Thursday evening and he was done by Friday. I shouldn't get hung up with the dyno #'s. He can tune cause their are some very fast cars running around town and at the track here in Amarillo tuned by Boost. I also need to change my tailpipe diameter. It's the factory 2 1/4" & everything else is 2 1/2".

When you do take it to the track, let us know how you do.
I'm looking into a cam with similar specs.
Also, how does it drive and how is the off idle/mid range torque?
Can you add a picture of the dyno graph?
Thanks!

Its not a very stingy dyno . Seen a sbe ls1 make 490 rwh on it. Our average density Altitude is 6000 or more so we average a full second or more slower than most tracks. Take that into consideration when You run it. AS Far as supporting mods other than headers and exhaust what are they?

Take it to the track first before you go crazy with the dyno numbers.
If it traps well then just don't worry about what the dyno said or take it somewhere else. If it only traps in the low teens then something may be wrong with the engine or who knows what they did to those heads.
