Default Dyno numbers low?

I recently got my 2000 Camaro SS Dyno'd and tuned. It's a basic header/full exhaust and cam only car. I installed a Torquer V2 with new springs. I recently got dyno numbers I wasn't pleased with. While not expecting amazing numbers, I was expecting a little more than 352rwhp/340tq. Do these numbers sound low? Also, what can cause low numbers?

It's a 6 speed. Right after my car, a ZL1 hopped on and made 480rwhp. I'll post my graph up shortly. The curve appeared to peak and flatten out at 5700rpm.

That cam should peak around 6300 I believe. Post up the graph.

Well look at the mods in my sig, and tell me how I made only 410 rwhp, but the car runs pretty even with a ported/pullied 03 Cobra that's around 500 rwhp lol. Point being...dynos don't mean much

I know dyno's don't mean much and and I'm not wanting to make 400 cam only. I was just a little weary and wondering if there's issues with my car. I know a buddy of mine has a bolt on car that makes 347rwhp. Is there a possibility of fuel delivery issues or would the tuner pick that up while tuning my car?

I made 366whp and 349wtq and I have nearly identical mods and cam as you. My full mod list can be viewed below in my sig. I agree that the 366 number was "disappointing" but my car picked up 36whp from just a cam swap and feels significantly faster especially in the upper rpms. What were your before #'s? However, my car did peak around 6300 as mentioned in a previous post.

Something doesn't seem right, how the hp curve flattens out at 5700rpm is saying something. Fuel pressure, valve float, compression? Hope you figure it out man.

I do still have the LS1 intake manifold. I know it's restrictive but is it restrictive enough to make dyno numbers this low?

Yes. Upgrade to an LS6 and you would gain around 25rwhp. Make sure they pull the car to 6300-6400 next time.

Did you change it to larger injectors. Stock injectors are really pushed at 360whp.

Put a fuel pressure gauge on the rail and test it under load

Could also be valve float, IIRC that cam has somewhat aggressive lobes. What springs are you using? What pushrods?

Get an ls6 intake

Could the clutch be slipping?

Stock injectors are not totally maxed at 360 rwhp...maybe like 80-85%. Most can get a little over 400 rwhp without issues

Lol do you all realize this thread is from june/july? Op is probably long gone by now. But ya I'd say with an cam only build injectors should be looked at. I came close to maxxing my stock ones out on my bolt on ls6 before the cam. After the cam I was at 102% by 5300 I changed to ls3's when I did the FAST 102

Not true.
