Default 386 rwhp on stock 806 heads

Recently did the swap from a stalled auto to manual transmission and was having some partial throttle issues below 3500 rpm. I'm still on the factory 323 rear gears. Cam swap was done @ 80k miles, car now has 133k on her

I thought my gas mileage was too good to be making good power, I'm averaging 17mpg city with the ac on. I also had a dead passengers side 02 sensor so everything is in open loop

My mods:
Fast 78 intake (basically ported ls6)
Ported tb
F13 cam with 114 lsa
Dual springs
Pace setter headers
True dual exhaust

Let me know if you have any feedback. Car drives excellent and I'm very pleased with all the torque

I went in to the session pretty concerned because the car will not break traction in first gear and won't chirp second.

Numbers sound about right.

Looks good. With any decent set of heads youd prob hit close to 440rwhp. The 806's are a big restriction.

Don't see many of those Fast 78s anymore. They are excellent intakes...nearly all the gains of a 90mm without the tuning headaches of the bigger TB.

Get some good heads on that thing and you will be all set.

I've debated on heads for a while now but I anticipate 410-420 whp and no gain in torque. I think the next thing I will do is 373 gears

My gained 48rwhp / 21rwtq with prc 2.5 5.3 heads over the 806 castings.
