Hmmm interesting. I've got the same cam , BTR 2 with cnc ported heads.
Headers I'm using are a tri y design 1 5/8" primaries into 1 3/4" Secondaries 2.5" outlet into a twin 3" exhaust system with X pipe. Standard injectors and ls6 intake manifold.
Is also tuned mafless using hp tuners.

Mines 373.3 rwhp thru a 6 speed.

Havent run qtr mile yet.

Havent been back to the strip again. Been busy every time at the strip tuning on a buddies turbo camaro. Ive also been slacking on doing a compression test. I did swap out the pushrods to 7.4s I had from the previous cam. I had alot more sewing machine sound. The power didnt seem higher either. I never dyno'ed with them. The sewing machine sound was so bad I decided that Id rather be down on power and quiet if that were the case. However, when using a pushrod length checker it did seem like 7.45 or so would be "right". 7.5 is also what BTR suggested for the setup, so its probably right.

I did get on the dyno at lsfest and it showed in the 390's there. I was hoping it would go the other direction from the last one. D'oh!

I think I might pick up a mph or so next time I go to the strip though. A local tuner pointed out to me that I need to rev it higher because the HP was just peaking at redline. By rev'ing higher I will keep it higher in the HP during my drag strip run. So I'm doing that now at least. I'll update the thread when I go back

Over all, I'm totally happy with the drivability, sound, and power of the car. I just wish the numbers were higher because, well... yanno

Something is wrong IMO. I would have expected close to what you gained just from the cam/intake swap. The heads should have made substantially more on top of that.

My car makes 390rwhp and weighs just under 3700lbs with me in race trim and has trapped as high as 95mph in the 1/8th but even in **** air tends to go 93mph.

That pushrod length sounds odd to me, but if it got noisy with 7.4s it might be correct. Are the mufflers restrictive? 2.5" is too small IMO but that alone shouldn't account for your losses.

Hope you figure it out...I don't even know where to point you too past compression and leakdown.

Wouldnd going with too long PR's prevent the valves from seating properly as it runs? therefore acting as if it had a loss of compression? Maybe you should stick to the 7.4 PR's or get the 7.45's. cam only Z06 made 425 whp. I think you might be leaving a few hp somewhere especially since you added heads. Either way. Still looking forward to hearing what you find out as you mess with it some more. BTW.... have any vids? :-)

Boy, that just doesn't sound right at all. We make 372 to the wheels with a stock LS1 including the intake. And that is through a Yank SS4000 and 3.90 gear. I'm getting ready to go H/C/I and am considering your exact set-up: TFS 220s worked by BTR, his cam, and a FAST 90. If it doesn't make almost 500 I'll be pissed for all that work and money. Something has got to be wrong.

Read on another thread where a guy went from a stock cam to aftermarket and lost power. After a lot of time and trouble shooting turned out to be the way the cam was cut the valve timing was off 5 or 6 degrees. Advance induction has a set up to check all the cams they sell for this before they ship it to you. Must be a somewhat common thing. Did you degree it when installing?

A leak down test wouldn't be a bad idea either

Why the maf-less intake? Whats the setup look like?
Reason i ask is that im in a similar boat, ls swap in a bmw. Cam only put down 360 but was expecting more. So talked to cam maker Geoff at EPS and said average is definitely 20-30whp than what i put down. Couple factors he said to look at with the tuner:
manifold pressure is same engine off = wot
AND intake setup is very sensitive!
Im working on a different setup to see if i can eek out a little more power on the cars setup before dropping money on heads...

Mafless intake setup because:

1) Space is limited in the car as is
2) I'd read where people purchased bigger MAF's to get more power so I figured why not eliminate it completely so I never need a bigger one?
3) I was used to tuning based on MAP instead of MAF from previous cars so it was kind of natural anyway
