Default Z06 T-Rex/Kook's Dyno Results

Just got back from MC Racing here in KC.

Best dyno of the day was 451 rwhp/ 396 tq
AF hovered between 12.2 - 13.1

Horsepower is a steady curve from 152 at idle to 451 at 6800, and it's hard to tell but it may have still been pulling when it hit the limiter. Torque peaked at about 5000 rpm and then dropped off at about the same rate as the hp was increasing.

Took forever to get this cam to hold an idle, but the trip home with the AC went smooth.

I was shooting for 450, so I consider it Mission Accomplished!!

Vararam V-1B, T-Rex Cam (242/248, 608/612, 110), Comp921 Springs, ASP Pulley, Rollmaster Dual Row Timing Chain, Kook's 1 7/8" hdrs, x-pipe, no cats, Borla 4-tip Stingers

Hey nice numbers!!! I was thinking of tunning at MC's too. Are you on any local boards? Got any pics or sound clips?

if you guys are having problems with it holding an idle, i would go send out the PCM to thunder racing as they have had much sucess even with mail order tunes. no one knows that cam as well as TR. But i am sure Denz can help you guys out when he is at MC Racing.

also IMHO, your TQ number is pretty low. that is purely a tuning issue. some tuners can boost that mid rpm tq, some cant. good luck and it HAS to pull like a ****.

Congrats, I second the opinion of calling Geoff @ Thunder and getting the mail order tune, he knows this cam better than anyone, due to him designing it.

steve, just my honest opinion, but you went with the wrong springs. that cam loves the crane duals, it carrys out better. mine peaked just over 7000 so you still havent peaked in your hp numbers. i also got best results with my a/f ratio at a constant 13.3 all the way across. get some more tunning done to make it consistant and you will gain some more also. are you on stock gears. if so that torque does look a tad low. if not stock gears you are ok

SMOKIN01TA

Still have oringinal gears. Next move is probably 3.90's or 4.10's, probably the 4.10's.

I figure I'll drive it for a couple of weeks and then go back and get it tweaked.

The guy at MC said he thought it was still peaking at 6800 (where we moved the limiter).

Thanks for the info on the A/F, we'll give it a try.

i may not make good torque on paper but when i can pull 1.50 on basially stock suspension with more power left, im happy.

i think his torque should be close to 400, so its not looking bad, the irs hurts a lil. hell i only put down 375 with my rear setup
