I have seen about 7 brand new LS1's hit the dyno. All being forged in some way or bigger cubic inches.
In every case they hit the dyno within the first 10 miles to get them tuned with the new setup. After a few weeks I have seen 4 of these cars come back to the dyno to see what the difference was by puting miles on the car. Most have put about 500 or better miles on them. In the cars I have watched everyone has gained considerable HP but geting the motor broken in. The lowest HP gain witnessed was 12 to the rear wheels peak for peak and almost all the way through the band.
With this being said I wouldn't be surprised if you gained additional HP between the time the car was tuned until the next time you hit the dyno.
Sould be very impressive and I think we might see our very first stock shortblock A3 to hit the magicial 500 RWHP number.
That would be sick.
I cant wait to see what kind of numbers you put down at the track as I have a very similar setup with very similar HP numbers. Of course I had to use 410 cubes to get me there but everything else is almost identical.
I am praying for you to run 9's probally about as much as you are.

BTW Lee if you are gonna hit Bradenton this weekend shoot me a PM and I would be more than willing to meet you and help out with anything you need.
Also b/c it does look like rain if you want to try and get some testing in Immokalee is open on Wednesday night's and even though it is only a 1/8 mile it would really help you be prepaired when launching the car and give you a idea of where the car is at.

Thanks JZ!
I sent out my TCI converter today, but I do have a Yank SS 4000E converter sitting in the garage. I am very tempted to just put that in the car and goto the track. I don't think the Yank will perform ET wise as well as the TCI as the yank is a 4000 stall and the TCI is a 5000 and I will be shifting at around 7400 rpm. I know the new motor is going to like the TCI better, although I have been thinking all day about the Yank. The Yank SS4000 is SOOO much more efficient than the TCI is, the car would MPH like a **** with the Yank. Hell I couldn't even imagine the dyno #s with the Yank in there, I lost 20 RWHP on the dyno switching from the Yank to TCI. The catch is the TCI is a 8" verter which hits alot harder than the Yank off the line. Converter vs Converter the TCI would get me to the other end in less ET.
I'm an hour either way to Immok or Moroso, I don't mind testing at Immokalee at all. Bradenton is too far.. 4 hour drive for me, but it is tempting because we have been having really nice weather in the morning and afternoon/evening rainstorms. So Bradentons morning TNT is an option I have been thinking about too.
I will definately be making some choices by Thursday. I'd like to have the car ready for TNT at Moroso on Friday and if I get rained out I may either shoot to Bradenton Sat morning or Immok for Sat afternoon for brackets.
hrmmm..

If you decide to hit Immokalee just send me a PM. I will defentially take the 35 minute drive to watch.
I will have my new motor in about 2 weeks. Hopefully next time we race I don't go boom and blow a piston.
BTW that is what the problem was that day in Bradenton.
I have a hole in the dead middle of my piston about the size of a quarter.
Looks like someone took a hammer and went smack.

Yea actually the guy that bought my old motor kinda disappeared for a couple weeks, I was about to call you to see if you wanted it but the guy came through.
Just an update.. right now it looks like I maybe actually heading to Bradenton for the Sat Morning TNT. I spoke with TCI the converter didn't get done today, they said it will ship overnight. I'll install it friday night and load up the car on the trailer. I'll head out about 6am get to BMP at 10am.

Car looked great on the track tonight Lee! Considering it was hot out and 98 degrees with the heat index today, nice to see more MPH out of it in the heat!
