That is what I guessed too but no body ever replied back with the cause of the loss in those posts. I can see how swapping injectors would hurt HP output with out tuning because the injectors would cause the engine to run a little rich. lol

so is it fair to say that retarding the cam like that may be responsible for your car being down on hp/tq under 4500 rpms compared to the TR224 cam?

Really it's only from 3300 and under, and a small bit from 4200 - 4500, but that is probably why. Usually increasing the advance will make more low end due to increased cylinder pressure. May be partly due to the size of it compared to the TR224 also though. It's definitely not noticeable driving the car though.
