Default My 408 results

So, my buddy and I built the motor in the spring with the help of a local machine shop. Lunati crank and rods, ARP 2000 bolts, Diamond pistons, TEA 235 Trick Flow heads, Edelbrock super victor, Fast throttle body, 1 7/8' headers and 3" exhaust with dumps before the rear end. FLT level 5 4L60E and 4.10's. Car made 545 rwhp and 467 torque on a dynojet last Thursday. Waiting for the nitrous express folks to get me the right jets so i can put my 200 plate on. Should be a blast at the track.

Damn good numbers right there. Any thoughts of putting dual cutouts on it? I bet it would pick up another 10 to 15 HP.

The car has 3" true duals with bullets on it, I doubt it would gain much if any.

I beg to differ with you there. I've seen setups like this that makes far less HP pickup quite a bit with the cutouts open. On this setup making far more HP already, the gains will be greater.

They are just cheap $25 summit mufflers. I have the band clamps on them so i can take them off in 5 minutes. One day at the track, I'll take them off and see if it makes a difference. Bigger problem for me right now is finding the right wheel tire combo. The 315 Nitto NT05r's just spin right now. Are there any 15" wheels out there that clear the f body rear calipers?

OUCH! Not cheap, and i really don't have space for more wheels and tires in my garage. thinking I need some taller 17" drag radials...like these

Anyone running M&H drag radials?

I have been 1.28 60ft on M&H 325/45R17. This was in a 2012 GS Vette W/ECS 1500 Blower. U.S.M.C.
