Default another what to expect thread.

Hey y'all. I'm finally getting around to my build. And I need some help.

I have a 2001 Silverado. Putting a 6.0 iron block In it. Going with hand ported 5.3l heads. (Possibly bigger valves) a edelbrock proflow efi intake. 42# injectors. 90mm throttle body. I'm looking for the can next. I really am interested in 2 cams. Both are the lsl lobes from comp. The first is a little smaller at a 219/227. 607/614 on a 112. (I may grind it on a 113/114) for a smoother idle. The next can is the next step up. The 227/235 614/621 on a 113. Its a heavy truck so I'm not trying to throw all of my bottom end away. But I'd like to be able to spin to 6500 and make power the whole way. Or damn close. And I wanna make over 400whp. I will also be running a 150 shot of nitorus with it. Oh and its going in an auto with the stock stall. (Stall will be changed eventually but must work on the stock stall until I can swap it out.) What can do you guys recommend? I am open to other ideas. If anyone has a dyno sheet of the cams listed in a 6.0 that would be awesome as well.

6.0 ironblock
Edelbrock pro flow intake
90mm throttle body
42# injectors at 43ps .
Ported 5.3l heads by my hands
Compression will be around 11-11.5:1.
Gen 4 flat top rotating assembly with 58cc heads.
.051 thick gaskets.

Thanks for the help guys. If I was buying a stall right away it would be a no brainer to do the 227/235. I just don't know how it will act behind a 4 speed auto with 3.73 gears. Thanks.

For the cam I would definitely do either CAMMOTION Truck Cam
Or one specced by Kip, better steel and better lobe profiles
For durability & valvetrain stability @ 6500 RPM.
Regarding Intake manifold if you haven't purchased the Edelbrock
The best truck intake is a Tony Mamo Ported FAST LSXRT
Truck intake, best combo of full torque curve & Peak HP
hands down.

Thanks for the reply I'll look into the can motion cams. As for the intake. I will probably never run a fast intake. Not that they dot perform but I don't feel they are worth the thousand plus you have to spend on them. And if you have tony port them. I'm on a pretty tight budget so that won't work haha. But thank you for the info.
