Default "Cam only" C5Z 426/394rw SAE

My buddy Matt came to me for a very mild daily driver cam upgrade. I speced him something that gets great mileage, drives better than stock and made much more power than I expected. The car put down 357/347rw when he brought it in. It already had a Halltech CAI, OBX LT's with catt's and an over axle with an ATI balancer, plugs and wires. It was also already tuned by local shop. Matt wanted new lifters put in so I pulled the heads.

I added:
My custom cam 223/231
7.4" PR's
Comp trunion
LS7 lifters
Milled the heads .020" (cleaned off the valves and lapped them back in)
Catch can (didn't get to install our breather. Left a couple on the table there)

So it made 357 rwhp on your dyno before the mods?

Unfortunately it was on another dyno and my guy didn't want to go back to that one nor did he care to get before numbers on my normal dyno. I told him it would probably make just over 400rw with my cam. He didn't really care about total numbers really. He wanted the car to sound good and run well. He has a 7 sec race car so he didn't need a speed fix. That is why I went so small and mild with this cam. I was pleasantly surprised. You can look at my other threads with before and after to see that the dyno is not inflated.

Gotcha. No I've seen your other threads before, and your dyno seems very normal. Nice work with a small cam like that
