Yes, I spec all of my own cams. I am located in North Carolina right now.

I must also say that I have been very fortunate to have the mentorship of most of the best head porters and cam guru's out there. Without their time and willingness to impart their knowledge on me I would be no where near where I am now. Thanks guys.

I have a dyno vid of it I have to figure out how to post. They are to long to email.

I am running LS7 lifter, BTR .685" springs, stock TI intakes and SS exhaust. There is no smoothing on the graph so it is working.

The cam drives very well in my opinion. With a FAST there are barely any issues at all. With the MSD there is some bucking/surging in the lower gears right around the 1,500-1,700 rpm range. In 6th it is gone. But it doesn't hunt for idle or anything like that. It will idle rock solid at 900rpm all day and fires right up in any condition. I drove this car to work everyday in stop and go for a week and it didn't bother me a bit. I daily drove this cam for a year or two in my 02Z. I do think it is at the limit for this platform with a 2.200" in take valve. The car actually didn't surge much at all from the 1,100 to 1,500 range in the lower gears. There wasn't much in the tune that can be done about it with the MSD. I tried everything I could think of. The injectors are just in a bad spot with the MSD and there is only so much that can be done to get them lined up properly and spraying on the back of the intake valve like they should be.

I agree on the MSD intake drive ability issues and very nice power numbers!

I am glad I am not the only one. Have you noticed the same issues with lesser builds? Both of my MSD cars so far have the same cam. The third one will as well.

The more I hear about the new MSD intakes, the more I'm glad I didn't buy one. I'll just stick with the tried and true FAST 102mm intake.

They make great power for sure and I don't think I will go back to the FAST but you have to put a bunch of work into them to get them to work right. There is also the gasket issue. Ensure that you get the black gaskets if you ever get one. The main issue it upper and lower lid fitment and injector placement. Not sure what could be done about the injector placement but the lid fitment could be a ton better.

Has anyone run the short or mid length FAST runners on a build like this yet?

Very interested in seeing this. I can't decide if I should get 1 7/8" or 2" ARH with ORX/3" axle back on mine. I'm on stock cam but don't want to spend money twice so it'll be getting a similar build as this but more than likely with a milder cam.

As I said in the email you sent me Bret, absolutely stunning results! Your dedication to getting things right is incredible. You're putting out some A+ results and you'll only get better with time.

I have two smaller grinds that have gone over 600rw in other combinations.

Thank you Si. If it wasn't for you and a couple other people I would have given up on all of this a long time ago and just stayed as a parts installer. I am still in the beginning of this journey and hope to get much, much better with time. This is still a second job for me so the learning curve is going to be steep I am sure when I can dedicate more time to it.

No problem at all buddy, I'm glad I could lend a very small amount of help to get to where you are today. What some people don't realize is that everyone in this industry started out just like you. Asking questions and figuring out how to do things the right way. Then applying what you have learned from the old timers and even putting your own spin on it.

Just remember that physics rule all in engine building, which you seem to have a great handle on.

Keep it up!
