Did you buy the FAST setup new, or did you find it used?
FAST 92/92 came on the car.

This car was stock bottom end with patriot stage 2s and fast setup injectors etc.

headgasket went at some point and hydrolocked it a few months ago, thats why I went to 6.0 block and better internals, just reused the top end and supporting mods.

Just kinda grasping at ideas because I understand your frustration.

Does the car sound strange as far as the exhaust note? Maybe something foreign is blocking exhaust flow and choking it under load? I've seen that with chambered mufflers where a panel comes loose inside but normally that shouldn't be an issue with a magnaflow I wouldn't think...guess it wouldn't hurt to drop just the muffler if that's easily done on the car.

Guess it's possible the FAST could have internal damage or a seal leak but not sure if that would cause this much trouble.

I know you said you were picking up a little retard and 20* in the area where the biggest problem exists is already on the low side....makes me wonder if there could be a false knock, fuel quality, or lean cylinder issue.

Around here there is an abundance of **** fuel from places like Murphy, Casey's, Kum N Go, etc. Decent 91 octane requires going to Shell or Conoco/Phillips.

It says you think the engine should have 11:1 compression, I am not familiar with the LS9 gasket thickness but a stock ls2 is 10.9:1 with a ~64-65cc chamber head. Mine cc'd at just over 63cc with .015" shaved off. If yours are 59cc there is a chance you have a good bit more compression.

Again, just tossing out ideas...

Car does have full magnaflow exhaust, no cats,
the pistons came from 2009 g8 6.0 engine. with gm dyno time only. there is a very small dish/two very small valve reliefs on pistons come up to -4cc overall. 4.100 .051 gasket
Calculates out to 11.08

Gotcha. The OP specified "ls2" pistons which should be flat tops with no valve reliefs (and IIRC they actually come out of the block a hair).

The fuel is 93 octane from a local Eagle stop. I have had multiple cars require it and never had any issues with it. Not that it means they couldn't have problem gas, but I haven't heard any complaints about it locally.

Exhaust note sounds damn beautiful to me.

If Kent's down, we can strap mine down Sunday and see what she puts down. Me already having a baseline from another dyno should let us know if it has to do with the dyno.

Yep, this will tell for sure. My hope is that you will make 360

My bet is you make low 400s~

If all goes as we planned, motor has to come out saturday anyway to fix rear main gasket that didnt take very well, and HOPEFULLY we get to the bottom of it and motor goes back in Sunday.

What I'd really like to do is take off my LS6 intake/TB and put your FAST 92/92 setup on mine and just see how much it picks up. I've been going back and forth between buying the 92/92 or the 102/102 setup.

For arguments sake, it said my vette had 300hp, which is wildly low even for a mustang dyno.

If it weren't for that 5.3 with a cam making 330rwhp, I'd say it's just the dyno, but taking that into consideration, it could be something else.

we are definitely on a mission to find out.

My car is going back out to the shop tonight to start tearing motor out to fix the oil leak and compression test etc. Hopefully Sunday will shed some light on the dyno itself.
