Default 02 z28 ss dyno #'s Question

Just bought this car, love it

built m6, bronze pads, hd sleeves, hd bearings, new gearset, steel shift forks etc. etc.

small comp cam

I have no idea which comp cam it has, neither does the previous owner, it was in the car when he bought it, only knew it to be a "small comp cam"

Car was recently tuned by Down South Performance in Mccomb MS

Car had a Huge set of injectors in it, only made 259hp and 278 tq to the wheels (much too rich)

injectors were replaced with ls6 units, car was tuned

357 rwhp @4954 and 416 lbs rwtq @3428 after injector swap and tune

Lt headers, y pipe, no cats, slp lid, and flowmaster exhaust are the only other mods

Does this seem right to anyone?

I would think the rwhp is about right.

The torque is HUGE though, would have to be around 450-460 flywheel at a very low rpm

Do you have a picture of the dyno sheet? Hp numbers seem close torque is way off. Was the pull done in 4th gear ?

Bueller?

Torque reading seems high to me as well.... JS

IF it is accurate though, car makes big block like torque

I wondered if it was his shop. The rpm of the max tq is also low. Maybe it was just a spike? Do you have a pic of the graph? Maybe their's a 4" crank in it?

Could you post the graph? I'm guessing something is really restricting the engine at higher rpm

Good dude just on hard times.

Im tempted to have it dyno'd at another shop, just the way it sits too see if the numbers are close

Not a bad idea to get it on another dyno. Just to compare. Usually shops charge between $75-$150 for a couple pulls.

Could be the exhaust, i gotta close look at it today, its complete amatuer hour the welds are shitty, and my 3 inch y pipe is welded up to a 2 " pipe just befor the axle and into a 2" flowmaster ... car sounds good but that **** has to go, going to have my headers flanged, new 3" y pipe flanged, buy a few 3" 180 degeree mandrel bends, a 3" single inlet dual outlet magnaflow take it all to a very good local exhaust shop and have em fix this ****

Someone got cheap when they chose a muffler shop, or got ripped off by some dumb *** with a "muffler shop"

Update:

Wed.

Car went 13.73@106, 2.2 60ft how it sits, launching at 2,000, shifting to second early, smoking the tires in second gear until half around track, 3 gear around 6,000 through the lights

275/40r18 sumitomos htrz iii 35 psi, no traction

Sat.

Went to a track event, only made one NON timed run off a stoplight,
Lots of rubber laid down from burnout competition, hooked second hard, and made a good run, 4th gear through the lights, kinda pissed it wasnt timed might have been the 12sec 1/4 mile i was looking for
