You could pick up a chunk of hp and tq by upping header size, doing a FAST 102, and going to true duals. The degree to which you would benefit from a tune depends on your combo and how spot on the current tune is. I'm betting you would benefit significantly from a retune, you'd be getting significantly more airflow in and out. If you do all of it, I would not be surprised if you picked up 40+ at the tire. Excellent numbers regardless.

We all sort of jumped on "where is there power still left on the table?" But yes, these are very good numbers. There have been a lot of 408 builds lately that haven't been hitting 500's, so it's nice to see one do it and still have some room to grow. Sounds like a very well built motor.

You'll have trouble with that for sure. You know how you can tell the difference between a loud exhaust and a powerful motor with a loud exhaust? So can mustang drivers. Especially once the locals get used to your car.

Don't be surprised if at lights people stay back a half a length. THAT's respect!

That's true. Even with my car, after doing heads and cam I noticed no one wants to try and pass me at the stop lights anymore. It would be a very boring lonely world with that 408 sound.

So the guy says 408, doesn't mention the rear seal or generation, could be anything? obviously this is not a 2-piece block but you see what I mean.

99% of the time, it's a 6.0L iron block with a 4" crank and a 4.030" bore. It's kind of common knowledge in LS land, like how in SBC land a 383 is usually a 350 block and a 3.75" crank and in SBF land a 347 is usually a 302 with a 3.40" crank.

Back to the op. That motor is strong but it does look like your AFR could use some touching up. At about 6300-6400 it goes under 12. Maybe It would help carry the power further rather than nose over at that rpm.

You are right about being safe. Going into the 11 territory is a bit much for N/A I'd think. I bet if your AFR carried straight, instead of that drop at the end, your power would too. Probably/maybe lol.

If you're going to switch your intake/exhaust, perfect time to get it touched up & see the effects of the changes.
