Default Bolt-on M6 dyno chart...decent numbers, but VERY high AFR

344whp / 354wtq
95 degrees outside, probably 100 inside. Humid.

It's an 02 6 speed Camaro:
Stock LS6 intake manifold
Lid
Long tube headers
Custom Y with 2 metallic magnaflow cats
LM1 catback with Magnaflow race muffler in place of original LM1

I bought the car as-is almost 2 years ago, and I was told it was tuned 'a few owners ago'. I put a couple hundred autocross runs on it, from freezing temperatures to 100*+ degrees, and 2 HOT track days. Never a single hint of a problem.

As you can see, the AFRs at WOT are around 14.0-14.5. I understand the goal is about 2 points lower. I also attached a picture of how the AFR reading was taken.

Does this graph look like one of a tuned car? Possibly the AFR gauge was off.

A sensor was inserted into the exhaust tip, as pictured.

I can't say much about the afr at the tail pipe. I think it will read a bit higher, back there, than what it really is.

Graph looks good except for the power nosing over at about 5500. Should carry pretty flat to about 6k.

Yeah when you read from the tailpipe, it could read higher than what it is. The best way would have been for you to put an extra bung in the exhaust pipe near the headers, and take the reading from there.

A good question is, does it make more power when your richen it up to say 13.0-13.5?

Torque app is not detecting knock. The car also does not feel like anything is wrong. No misfire, power cut, etc. Heavy racing for 2 years like this and no problems, but the AFR concerns me however. But reading some threads here, the engine would have already blown if the AFR was truly 14+ in the environment that I use the car in.

Unless there is a catalytic convertor somewhere, readings in the tailpipe will not change from closer to the engine.

If that wideband is considered accurate, then you should absolutely get the thing re-tuned.
