Hey Guys...

I've been meaning to get our latest 480 dyno graph (RWHP) up on this page so you guys can check it out. I will do my best to make that happen very soon....Keep an eye out for it.

Thanks,
Tony M.

PS Anyone close to Ventura in Southern CA can watch for themselves this Sat. June 26th....Will have the car back up on the rollers at A&A's Dyno/BBQ day being held at his brand new facilty. Take a ride by if your close....looks like it's going to be a great turn-out!

Best looking graph I have ever seen for a 224/224. Amazing. I was going to buy a set of your heads, but I came across a really good deal on a set of thunderracing cnc heads, cam, pushrods, lifters all for 1500 shipped so I couldn't pass it up. That is about all the money I had to spend. I still dream of owning a set of the AFR 225's for my 408 stroker on an ls2 block with 90 mm ls2 intake and TB!

Tony Mamo @ AFR, please tell us more about that car.

Did it have a TR224 114 cam or TR224 112 cam?

Hows the idle on that car? I heard cars with LSX intakes are having problems even after tuning them ... Jayson at MTI (the owner) said that they no longer install them on their packages unless specifically requested because they are unable to tune them 100%. Some driveability issues remain. Some metioned even after 20+ hours of tuning couldn't get it 100% (thats according to LPE trying to tune it as well). Some also mentioned surging occurs sometimes when the AC is on.

Is the car doing any of this?

Has there been any car with AFRs and the LG GX3 cam? Im hoping that combo without LSX intake will make the same numbers (hopefully more hp). After what I read about the LSX intakes i decided I should pass and maybe wait for the LS2 intakes one day..

not to hijack the thread but how about some testing on FI. I am waiting for some FI numbers before I go out and buy these heads. Anything to address head lifting issues.

Stock compression ratio? I am starting to get very interested in these heads, especially the torque at 2000 rpm.

Thanks JRP and Predator-Z.

What should that cam dyno on stock heads? Any idea? maybe 400rwhp with a good amount of bolt ons? (did a search and found nothing - not a really popular cam)..

How much power gain was seen from these heads and LSX intake? Average figure to me is 60-80rwhp and that sounds crazy!

Anyone have an idea on what this setup would dyno:
AFR 205, LG G5X3, bolt ons with LS6 intake? (not going for LSX)

Call me crazy but im thinking 500rwhp (hopefully thru a catted y-pipe) ?

Sorry- I posted wrong HP numbers. Anyway, I found a similar post on this thread with numbers from the GX3 cam with these heads:

I'd also like to know.

Secondly, in your opinion, Tony, do you think these heads will do even better with a bigger cam? If so, how big? T-Rex big or maybe a little smaller?
