Default 70 AMC Gremlin LQ4 and or GT45 - 10s?

Hey all -

I have acquired an iron head LQ4 6.0. I am also in process of getting l92 heads and ls3 intake. A bunch of magazines claim 500+ hp with the ls3 top end and a cam. I will be running exhaust manifolds not headers. Will this combo with the right cam run 10.30-10.80? The gremlin is sub 3000 lbs and has a built 8.8 rear with 3.73 currently and a th350 with 3000 rpm stall.

If not- I also have a gt45 turbo I can add but others are suggesting these heads are a bad match for it?

That's what I originally thought but I have now read that the gt45 with this much na hp will be underwhelming or outside the efficiency of the turbo? I am guessing that means really laggy?

With or without the turbo......yes.

And with the lightweight of the Gremlin and those 3.73 gears.....turbo-lag would be the last thing I'd worry about.

Haha - you don't think the 26x10.5 tires can handle it??

Cars have run 7s in the 1/4 mile with 26x10.50 tires. Pretty sure you'll be ok.
