Default Th400 vs T56.....the results (video inside)

This is something I see discussed often, but rarely tested. Here are couple of weeks ago I finally finished the Th400 swap. I already knew that the car would run faster with the auto, but was curious to see how much the 400 with the unlocked converter would rob...power wise. But first here's what the car made with the t56...765/900, but I suspect that clutch may not have been holding completely. Anyway, enough talk....here's what the car did today.

I would say it was more of a spike, by 4500 it was down to about 850. It peaked really early....3250....and was downhill from there. By 6k.....it was down to only 575ft/lbs.

Numbers aren't bad considering it did this with a cheap turbo and only 14 degrees of timing. I was even more surprised it did this through the "power gobbling 400" and unlocked converter.
