You go find most of these combos running 11s in a f body and making 450- 480 on average.

That's what I figured I just wanted a list of numbers more or less. For example here is my build
Lq4
Stainless Works 1 7/8 Headers
Ls3 Ported Heads
Super Victor Ported
Holley 750hp
Melings High Pressure
Cam Motion 23x / 25x 62x/62x (SRD lobe)
Ls7 lifters + New Trays
Upgraded Rockers
Aeromotive 1000 fuel pump
Arp'd
Nos big shot plate (Later Build)

This is for a 2000 Sonoma very light car, backed with CalTracs, 90/10 front shocks, double adjustable viking rear shocks, and split mono lleafs

What do you consider "light"? Unless its gutted inside, and has glass doors on it, my guess is it's 3200# at least. Mine is 3450#. I know where I can pull some weight, but these trucks are heavier than most people think. They are not the 1st gen S10's by a long shot.

Never taken its weight. The truck shouldn't be more then 3200. It's sitting without motor and tranny and it feels like a toy. My dad has a backhalfed nova #2850 and my car is 10x lighter. I figured with the motor and th350 should he another 1,000 pounds heavier. How does your truck run with the 6.0? Is it boosted yet or NA?

Anthony, I'd bet your combo would work as well with a set 243's,where is the advantage in LS3 heads on a 364?

The heads were free... lol I couldnt beat it, I'm a college student working part time at $10 an hour. It's taken me a little over a year to gather the parts. The heads were a gift from one of my dad's friends. I just had them worked and a 5 angle valve job. I figured I'll stroke the motor in the future, and maybe reuse the heads. It's been a long way. I bought my first car my SR year of highschool (92 camaro), Then going into my first year of college, I got the s10 and started the build. It grew complicated cause I wanted decent power, and a 10second truck in the future.

Its not optimal because of compression and also valve shrouding but will still make good power. An s10 won't be hard to get in to the 10s

Yeah, mine was a little down on that @ 426 but it does have a nitrous cam and stalled auto. OP these heads can be tricky to cam...do some research.

The cam is a custom spec by Martin, and made at cam motion. I had a little confusion when ordering because I wasn't sure how to order the cam cause I spoke to Martin over the phone lol. But Martin helped a ton, and gave me good information for my build. Cam motion gave him the credit and used his lobe specs. For some odd reason, I thought he worked over at cam motion.

Oh and I ordered a set of pro true dome pistons from wiseco, to bump compression. It's a small 4cc dome but it'll get the job done. It bolts to the stock rods, and is good for my budget. I have the arp rod bolts and I'm hoping it'll hold a 200shot in the future. If it decides to go, looks like I'm saving up awhile to stroke it lol. But for now, I'm happy with a fun all motor ride. Once I learn the car, I'll bump up to a 75 shot, and slowly increase.

It sounds like a nice build for sure with a Cam Motion grind and having adding some compression is going to help a lot. Will that piston work with the stock rod?

What cam? What did it run ?

The large intake valves are very sensitive to overlap. The guys that seem to be really run well at the track with these heads NEVER share they cam specs....

231/247 617/624 113 (Comp shelf cam)
So far with limited track prep, the best is a 7.05 @ 98 1/8th which should be about a 11.10 1/4. Once I get the suspension and 60' dialed in, should be in the 6.90's
It should eat pretty good once I get the nitrous in and tuned.

Yeah these pistons are made for the stock rods and are very budget friendly. It just took awhile to arrive from wiseco.

Ordered the Viking double adjustable shocks today. Tomorrow I get paid and have enough for the mono leaf springs! Lmao I'm so close but so far. I have a huge pile of car parts sitting in the corner of my room. From headers to intake and carb. Lol

Im in the LONG process of building my motor also. LQ4 408. Going to drop some nitrous on it too. I am running LS3 heads with better springs. Im really curious to see how your combo runs. Sounds like you are on the right track. Keep us updated!
