That's the plan. I have a spare motor waiting to be built to handle more rpm. Opens up ability for tuning not having to look for a LT1 tuner.
Plus reliability will be nice and able to toss a OBD2 scanner on it lol.

Topping out short off 7200 RPMs with the stock PCM sucked big-time! I can now rev as high as I need to go with my 250*+ duration solid roller cam.

I did the TorqHead kit on my '96 Impala. Wasn't concerned much with the opti issues.....I needed the added tunability of the LS ECM, and the additional rev capability.
Topping out short off 7200 RPMs with the stock PCM sucked big-time! I can now rev as high as I need to go with my 250*+ duration solid roller cam.

I'm "stuck" with the LT. For my 30th, my wife bought me my first spare motor and longblock. So I have basically a motor and a half to build one good one out of.
It will be a long process, but it will be fun. I'm doing supporting mods now to prove them out, then swap them to the new motor.
And if I had the money, I would skip the Fbody all together and go C5. But this thing is fun to tinker with.
