Default LS376/480 in a C5 and LS376/525 in a C6Z results

I recently installed a LS376/480 in a C5 - I put a Halltech Venom II intake and Kooks 1 7/8 headers no cats with C5 Corsa cat back car made 436 rwhp and 403 rwtq (red graph).

The second car is the LS376/525 in a C6Z that the LS7 let go in - that car has a Vortex Rammer CAI also with Kooks 1 7/8" headers no cats with Burns stainless glass pack style mufflers, it also has a Aviad 2 stage dry sump installed (2 stage scavenge with ARE pan still using internal pump for pressure.)
It made 472 rwhp and 442 rwtq(blue graph).

So for anyone who is comparing the two motors those are pretty close to the same drivelines - Tuned by the same tuner, dynoed on the same dyno (different days).

So it looks like the 480 outputs more power and torque then the 525 below 5200 rpm. My application is autocross and some HPDE days, so according to these charts, the 480 will put out more power on average than the 525. So the 525 cam is optimized to hit a high max number, at the expense of power across the band of operation. Thanks for posting @LT-4Play much appreciated.
Take a look at it again. The 525 makes more power across the entire range.

In any case, if you're gonna buy a crate LS3 engine, I say buy the base engine and install a cam of choice. But hell....that's just me.

I agree! Why pay thousands for a cam swap?!?!?
