Low Dyno? Care More about the ET
Hi All. Recently a shop near me that I know some guys that work there had a "Dyno day" I have an A4 with 3200 stall, longtube headers, and slp intake with 3.23 gear weight with me in it is 3720 lbs
It was only 40 bucks for 3 pulls so I decided I would throw my car on there for fun and see if my playing around in HP tuners was gaining anything. The car Dyno'd its first pull with the stock tune and it made 265 to the tire. I then flashed my tune and it made 280 for the next 2 pulls.
There are only 1/8th mile tracks near me and I run consistent 8.30's at about 85 mph.
Does the dyno match the ET? Does the dyno seem low? I don't really care about the number itself, more-so the gain with my tune. I know the ET is what matters...I was just curious to see how people think the dyno matched the ET.

That et seems slow you're saying? Other than the headers and stall, it has some basic suspension goodies. Lca relocation, tubular arms, torque arm and panhard. Cuts pretty consistent 1.80 or 1.85 60' on garbage tracks. I'm honestly not sure what most ls1 f bodies run in the 1/8 but it seems to beat most all other stock f bodies or c5 vettes that show up to my local track.
Maybe I just habe a dud ls1? Lol
Just trying to get a handle on what it "should" be doing at 3700 lbs so I can tweak it to get into the range it should be

Not the best track conditions but I've seen much worse. Maybe the tune could use some tweaking. My buddy has almost the same exact mods as you (and a very similar raceweight) and consistently traps 88-89 in similar conditions

Air fuel prettymuch 12.8 across the board at wot, timing until it knocked in the log then off 1 or 2, revving to 6250 in 1st and across the beams at about the same in 2nd
3.23 gear and a 245/50r16 tire.
I've tried a 275 wide, 28" tall tire and when the track is decent I can cut the same 60' with the 245's and it mph's better with the shorter tire

My 1998 Z28 with a Lid and a Aerochamber muffler made about 290rwhp.
At the track it ran 2.25 60' 8.74 1/8 @ 84.5 and 13.40 @ 105 in the 1/4.
I don't think you are too far off. Your converter maybe absorbing some of the power.
How efficient is your converter?
You might check your exhaust and see if it's bangning to cause knock.
I had to adjust mine years ago and my knock stopped.
