Nitrous Outlets Camaro
Nitrous Outlet brought down their shop car down last week to get tuned. We really were looking forward to seeing some good numbers out of the 402 but quickly realized something wasn’t right. While we always want every tune to go smooth we know that’s impossible unfortunately. We prefer to put every car we take to the track on our chassis Dyno first for several reasons. We much rather have stuff go wrong strapped on the Dyno vs going down the track. It’s also a lot easier to catch engine, transmission, electrical, fuel or other issues with multiple computers hooked up, cameras and people watching and doing everything in a controlled environment. It’s a minor setback for orange juice but the new Henson built 434 will be a nice upgrade. After losing hp and having odd oil pressure readings we decided to do some further investigating. At LSX Power Tuning we have a great team of technicians but we also are very fortunate to have Scott Herzog the owner Arrow Machine (who builds engines for us) right down the road to help us when we need help with an engine. The last pic is what we found.

OK, I give in; what is in the pan?
Also, "a minor setback for orange juice" HUH?

All those "gold" flakes are bearing material. The oil filter was cut open, took apart and the oil drained and all those flakes is what was left. For a motor with the amount of run time it should not have had the issues it was having.
Orange "Juice" is the name of the car

Oh, alright. I was having a hard time differentiating the finish of the pan from anything in it. I see it now. Yeah, that might be an issue!
