'02 LS6 Cam Dyno results within' =)
It put down 352.6RWHP at 6200 RPM and was still climbing slightly (stock rev limiter), and 343.7 RWTQ at 4800 RPM. So with just adding the '02 LS6 cam, I gained 32.7 RWHP and 14.3 RWTQ.
This is through an automatic, stock manifolds and stock cats, my 18" HRE's, and no dyno tricks. Tomorrow I'm having an off road y-pipe made and I'll be putting my TR ported TB on and re-dynoing tomorrow afternoon. I will post the dyno graphs in a few days (when I have a friend do it for me).
So, my car sounds dead stock, looks dead stock and makes 350+ RWHP through an automatic I am very pleased with the results!
Joe
I have a 02 WS6 A4, most bolt-ons and a 3000 Midwestern stall with a 2.5 multiplier.
Are you saying that I can simply swap the cam and nothing else, not even reprogramming, and achieve those numbers?
I thought I had read that to use the 02 LS6 cam you needed the hollow valves? Or was that just for 01 LS6's trying to upgrade?
God, I hope so! Those are great numbers for a simple cam swap.
Thanks-

Are you implying a ~30rwhp gain with the only change being an 01 LS6 cam? I remember most of the old threads regarding that, but I never had the chance to see the dyno graph etc proving that it was possible to gain ~30rwhp by switching from a stock cam to the 01 LS6 cam. From what I understand the 02 LS6 cam is a much better cam in everyway and worth at least 10rwhp over an 01 LS6 cam.

Here are the specs on that cam -

Joe (JPR), Im looking forward to getting a set of your heads to compliment this setup soon.
There has been no programming done at all yet, I need to at least raise the rev limiter soon. I havent looked at the ATAP log of the runs today yet. I'll post again tomorrow after the off road y-pipe install and dyno. I will post the graphs in a few days when my friend can do it for me.
It sounds dead stock and I will have no problem going to a dealer to get warranty work done on the car, and thas the best part since it only has 1200 miles on it right now. Thanks for all the compliments, and it is a very worthy mod for the price (especially if you install it yourself).

The pushrods and springs info is what I was hunting for. I know the 02 cam has a smaller base circle and you either need new rods or to bleed the lifters down.
I only lost 3 hp on the dyno with the stall converter stock so I don't know how much the LS6 cam would eat up on the dyno. Don't care...
The dyno opererator didn't know how to run an A4 with a stall anyway. Everytime he stepped on the gas, the TC would flash to 3800 and the graph would shoot over 500 ft lbs of torque. Pissed me off I couldn't get a good graph from 2000 rpms up...
Sounds like my next "Bolt-on" as I want to hang with what little warranty I have left. Thanks for the info and looking forward to the graph.
Too bad most guys only pick up 8rwhp with the cam. Probably a dyno error...

hhhhmmmm....been to the same dyno with the same operator 4 times with 3 different cars. Yeah, that's it....must be a dyno error. He must have duplicated that exact same error 3 times, too.
Compare your MPH at the track and let us know..
Great #'s.. Buddy of mine has an 02 SS w/ the 345 HP package and it dyno'd 321rwhp stock... great pickup regardless

His car must be an M6. The above dyno #'s are on an A4, so there is slightly more parasitic loss.
