What do you guys think of the build? It’s built for big nitrous but what do you think she will make n/a?

Default It’s been a journey.....

The short answer is 503 rwhp. The long answer is I purchased some used MSD coils (model 8245) from a forum member on here. They were the older versions and many were split apart. When we finally got the engine back in we were plagued with inter-mittent mis-fires. The tuner switched to SD Tune to clean up the drivability issues. Drivability was great after that and we proceeded to Dyno at 503 rwhp. The next day the mis-firing and missing was back. I decided to swap all of the MSD Coils for my Stock LS1 coils and right off the bat a whole different car. Now I have no issues except with the new coils and my first down the track, even though tuned for 13:1 A/F on the Dyno, car ran 14:1 -14.5:1 so I got out at 1/3rd track. We had previously checked the fuel pressure and it was ok. The car now wants more fuel and hopefully that means more power. I data logged some driving and WOT and my tuner is going to do the adjustments remotely. Since I changed the coils this thing is a beast and I can’t wait to hit it with some nitrous. Not rushing though - step by step.

I have never had a good run with MSD LS coils ever on multiple cars.

get that fuel back into it at WOT and it'll have some torque back.

I’m thinking that as well! The true test will be track times and mph compared to my old 402 set-up. This new motor is optimized for nitrous so my goal is to improve on my previous set-up running 9.60s to low 9s. I’ll report on progress made....
