Got to tune a 408 swapped ford f150 with a 500 shot couple of days ago. The truck is a grudge truck so cant post up the 500 shot results, but on a 250 shot it managed to throw down 750rwhp through a 9 inch, th400 and slicks. 408 has a hi ram, 1 3/4 longtube headers, TSP cam, trickflow heads ported by Greg good. Made best power at 31* of ignition timing, with a .9 lambda fuel ratio. The customer was also spraying straight out of the fuel rail! At first I told him I wasnt going to spray a 500 shot straight out of the fuel rail on e85 only, but after talking to him he said he would be 100% fine if something were to happen. Nonetheless I installed a 11 heat range plug and went to work. Ended up with a 10 series NGK plug and 13* on that shot. Its important to note that the engine picked up almost 100whp in the midrange going from a 10.3 afr to a 12.4 afr on that shot which comes to justify what the heavy hitters hint at when tuning nitrous fed engines, tune it just as if it was an NA engine in terms of AFR.
That was it lol the thread was arguing what was the difference between two shops in which one charged 250 for a street tune and the other charged 400, mind you neither of these places are sponsors either. All i said was I charge 250 for a street tune as to insinuate that just because a shop charges less doesn't necessary mean its shoddy work. But oh well I'll just stop mentioning it LOL

They shouldn't be. The 4.6 and 5.4 engines are such turds Ford should be ashamed they ever made them. I own a 2013 F150 with the 5.0 that is actually a good engine, just impossible to swap because of its width. The LS engines are just better all around engines.
