LS7 lifters
660 BTR springs
ls3 rockers with trunnion

ported ls2 TB
kooks 1 7/8
borla stinger
pump 93 gas

car now has BTR nitrous cam with Johnson short travel link bar lifters and new BTR 660 springs.

I have had nothing but issues out of this car since it has been built. Its finally getting to where I want it to be. About a year ago I had it tuned with around 300 miles on motor and made 503/468.

Around the end of year last year I went to a dyno day and sprayed the car on a 200 shot making 791/729. peaked power at low RPM.

Had the car tuned again this year about 5 weeks ago and made 511/486. (around 2500 miles on the motor)

We went to a 400 shot and made 933/958. We noticed peak power at very low RPM. Shut the car off for fuel pressure adjustment and when we fired the car back up the motor dropped a couple lifters. Pulled the motor apart locating three bad lifters and one bad rocker arm (2500 miles). I had the motor built by a shop and picked it up as a complete long block. Always noticed it had a loud valve train but lots of people said it was normal.

I moved forward without pointing fingers because that will not get you anywhere.

We did a BTR nitrous cam with Johnson link bar short travel lifters and finally got it running again. The car now makes 567/495 with the still stock port 823 heads and 93 pump gas at 25 degrees timing on #9 NGK plug. Hopefully spray the car again next week sometime on the 400 shot. I will post dyno sheets.

Good stuff man, I'm sure it's a blast to drive. I'm curious to see how the stock casting heads hold up to the 400 shot on the track.

Hopefully it will last a handful of passes this year. I’m excited to get the car to the track. I’m looking at doing heads and e85 for a winter project.

The last time I drove the car it made the 503 with 410s. Now 567 with 3.42s, just that alone will be interesting.

Depending on how it goes next week we might bump it down to a 300 shot. It’s a toy and I’m just pushing the limits with lots of things on the car.

567/495 are nice numbers for stock casting heads. Can you post the specs of that cam?

Send those heads to AI, and you'd pick up another 35-40rwhp on top of where you are NA. And get them to soften the chamber while they have it. Would make the 400+ shot better to deal with.

it sucks driving on the street Stop to stop light other than that it’s good.

We had it on the dyno again and made 915/960 with new setup. It peaked power at 6200. We stopped there for dyno numbers and will make adjustments at the track. It’s running a little rich on spray and have room for a couple degrees, we weren’t going to keep spraying it for numbers. I want to have some fun with the car.

I plan on doing heads this winter but want a nice cage installed first.
