You should try to convince your GF to buy a f-body

Why are we idiots just because we aren't impressed? The "idiots" on SRTforums are the ones that keep talking about mullets and stuff, there is definitely a different maturity level between these two sites. Don't get bent if we simply choose not to get excited about your neon.

Agreed with Tony on all accounts. And this is an LS1 forum, why the heck are you even posting SRT-4 numbers here anyway? Wait I know why, you wanted us to be impressed.....sorry we're not
Also using you're logic I should run out and buy a geo Metro and trick it out and put gobbs of nitrous on it. After all getting beat by a Geo Metro would be priceless too right?

I wonder if the modified Geo owners talk smack and try to impress the guys on the SRT-4 forum lol.

Honestly, if a neon was faster than any of my cars and he beat me, I could care less. Because I'm still not the one seen driving around in a neon.

I posted it here as an FYI. You may encounter a SRT in a street race and find this info handy someday.

I would be more impressed with a geo running 13's than a f-body running 9's.

Same info could be used at the track.

HAHA!!! yeah I have seen an E43 M3 run low 14's @ 99 mph up there. I haven't raced my SRT there yet. I went to Carlsbad last saturday. That track = the suck. I wish Fontana would open every week to cut down on the crowds.

Your car is a forced induction car. Much like the '03 Cobra, these cars are restricted in stock form. Any factory boosted car has alot of potential for easy gains up front. Look at the GTP Grand Prix, or the Lightning, or the Buick Grand Nationals. I'm just wondering why neon guys would rather start out with something that makes hardly any power and spend all that money just to make it run even with other cars already available from the factory with the same power.

I only paid $25K for my '02 SS. With about $3K in mods, I'm at 430 rwhp without nitrous. I could always add nitrous and see 500-600 depending on how nuts I am. Not a big deal when you are talking nitrous hp.

The SRT-4 is an okay car for what it is, but the entire 4cyl FWD scene has alot of limitations. Most of the faster "street" hondas and such are gutted out shells with carbon fiber body panels and no interior....just to run 11s in most cases. I guess I just don't understand that.
I had a 02 Grand Prix GTP and the best time I did in was a 15.0x@ 92.00mph and I traded it on a 04 STR-4 and last nite I ran a 13.69@103.75 with a $40 BOV and some drag radials. I know alot of LS-1's out there running the same times as my SRT-4. So I think that I must be making decent power to trap 103.75. Nineball, It's pretty apparent that you don't like SRT-4's but you don't have to be such a dick about it.

Seriously though, it would would just take a good shot of juice to get a geo metro in the 13's. How impressive is that? Ask Big Mike how much nitrous it took him to get his car in the 9's, I would think you'd have a little more resepct for that. I remember you now from the ls1.com days in the western section, spreading your ricer logic. It's hilarious.

srt is a fun car and the first mods are simple and pay big dividends. Get rid of the ugly-*** wing on the back and it would be a great sleeper.

I think that a lot of the SRT4 hatred here comes from the attitudes of a few ******** owners. It must be the average age of an SRT4 buyer or something. Anyways, having said that, I actually like those cars. It would be a fun little commuter, and with a few bucks in mods could run neck and neck with stock LS1s. I'm not gonna trade anything in on one anytime soon, but still, I don't think they're all that bad.

Maybe I should clarify. No N20 involved in said comparison. I personally dont care for N20.

As far as me spreading rice on LS1.com you are F.O.S. I have not and will not spend one dime on making my vehicles appearance change. If you looked at my Galant up close(at the races) you would know it looks completely stock. If I am a ricer in your eyes because I drive a 4 cylinder then you are a bit judgemental & close minded.

Here is a link to the other site of my recent posts there.

I agree with you 100%.

The average age definitely makes a difference.

You've got to be kidding. If I saw a 13-second GEO, I'd think to myself "WTF is wrong with this guy wasting all that money on a POS geo just to run 13s".

you make it sound like running 9s in an f-body is some easy task. Do you realize all of the stuff that has to be replaced/upgraded/modified for it to run 9s consistently and reliably? 9s aren't cheap at all.

I had a 02 Grand Prix GTP and the best time I did in was a 15.0x@ 92.00mph
That sounds like a stock time. We put a pulley and a cutout on a friends '01 GTP and it went 13.9 with the baby seat in the back. I didn't say GTPs were fast, I only used them as an example of how factory boosted cars have easy gain potential.

91 Galant VR4
12.18 @ 113
honestly, that is more impressive to me than the neon stuff you posted.
