The people that bash vehicles they know nothing about cracks me up.
Fact is the SRT-4 is a cheap hot rod(much like the 98-02 F-Bodys) and is quite entertaining to drive.
Shoot I was able to run a 13.9 at 102 in my girlfriends 03 SRT-4 on street tires.I have raced and beat more than 1 below average LS1 driver.(Not $1 spent on mods)That in my opinion isn't shabby for a car that cost me under 19K.
Fact is the motor is strong and people are nearing 10's with just a turbo and fuel managment upgrade.
It isn't a LS1 but I feel confident letting my better half drive it.She loves it because she can smack around most GT's,WRX's,S2000's etc...

its like nails on a chalk board when you refer to a turbo 4 banger as a 'hot rod' or 'muscle car'
they are fast and respectable cars. easy lil mods can make them quick.. its the overly arrogant high schooler owners on that board.. and the ignorance they spew that leads us to reminding them of their place on the food chain.. a 'decent' driver in a stock ls1 will beat a 13.9 srt everytime.
there was a 501fwhp srt in houston.. i believe his best time was 11.6.. his motor blew after a few runs.. but that is still impressive.

Once again they are the LS1's of 2003+
Cars don't make people jackasses they were that way long before they ever stepped into a Camaro,Viper,Vette,SRT,Cobra,etc...
All I am saying is give respect where it is due.
I am a hard core LS1/LS6/LS2 fan but that dosen't mean I can't appreciate what the other manufactures are building.

Wait wait wait!! You guys are missing the point! (read slow)A srt4 is a Dodge Neon. A highly over priced Neon in fact but still a Neon. Hell you could strap a rocket engine to the roof and guess what...yep thats right it is still a Neon.

That sounds like a stock time. We put a pulley and a cutout on a friends '01 GTP and it went 13.9 with the baby seat in the back. I didn't say GTPs were fast, I only used them as an example of how factory boosted cars have easy gain potential.

11.6 @ 128mph. Easily enough power to go 10's. He was on a fairly small slick so 60 ft's were pooooh.
