Default Low numbers for an LS6?

I just had my 66 nova tuned on a dynojet and was let down by what I seen. My setup is a little different since its in a 66 nova and not in a F body but what do you guys think?

LS6 short block
Tick perform mace street heat 1 cam 225/228 | .615”/.595” | LSA112+3
Total Engine Air flow
243 with Stage 2 Porting stock compression
Fast 92
Fast TB
Upgraded injectors I forget the states
Long tube headers
UD pulley
3" exhaust
Ford 9 with 3:70 Gears
4L60E 3000 stall

After 2 pulls my numbers were 407whp 376tq
What do you guys think?

Was the converter locked or unlocked during the pull? Through a 10 bolt and stick that's probably 440+.

I have no idea I was not present during the dyno. I guess I was just expecting more with the heads done and all, maybe I should of went for a different cam.

Your drivetrain isn't doing you any favors for a Dyno number but it must be fun on the street.

Maybe I'm missing it but what intake manifold are you running?

Oh, the LSX(R?) manifold? Cool. Looking at your specs, I think you went too mild on the cam and should have probably gone with a 102 instead of the 92mm. With the drivetrain losses the numbers you got are probably accurate. I'd look for a more aggressive cam and a higher compression to make more HP. Might also look at your intake to make sure you're pulling in cold air and you're not suffocating your engine unless you ran it on the dyno with just the TB (manifold and TB can only use the air provided to it by the intake system). Anything past that and you're going to need something more serious like boost or stroker kit.

Numbers aren't the highest but not overly low either. You definitely have some great parts on the motor that would make quite a bit more power with a big stanky camshaft. I was once a small cam guy until I put in lots of seat time behind LS platforms of many different types of builds. Big cam, big numbers.

Combo has good parts and those TEA stage 2 ls2 heads work really well.
However, I would have used the FAST 102mm.
It's a much better piece than the 92mm.
Camshaft is good and mild so I see so issue with that.
If you fit a larger camshaft don't go too big or else driveability will suffer too much if it's primarily a street vehicle.

Yea thats really low.

In my testing there is little to no difference from the fast 90 to the fast 102 at that power level. Both need porting to perform well.

Idk how much a auto soaks up power but my bolt on ls6 ended up at 451whp 423wtq and that was through a 9" and a m6. Various combinations over the years helped get it there. Lowest it ever dyno'd was 399 but that was on the stock ls1 tune.
